Acura CDX 2021: a small SUV.
For the first time, the CDX model appeared in the price lists of the Acura brand in 2016. Today, in order to compete with other manufacturers of small crossovers, the company is forced to carry out a restyling of the model.

First of all, the transformations will affect the exterior, interior details and the multimedia system. In addition, the 2021 Acura CDX promises its customers slightly improved technical systems of the car.

And the price of new items will still be affordable and will be able to attract buyers of different genders and ages.

Exterior

Even from the photo, you can determine that the car has retained the brightness and grace of its predecessor.

It is distinguished by bright body contours, sharp, modern lighting technology, a combination of different types of relief and a powerful protective system that runs around the bottom of the novelty.

At the same time, the new model received improved bumpers and some other elements that give the car a special charm and harmony.

The SUV muzzle traditionally looks the brightest. It is set quite high, although it cannot be called wide and long.

Beneath a small but heavily sloped windshield sits a short, ribbed bonnet, also tilted towards the road. Immediately in front of it flaunts the original fine-mesh hexagonal radiator grille with chrome or glossy black frames.

In the middle there is a large chrome-plated brand badge. On the sides of the grille, there are elongated «arrows» of pretty front optics with high-quality LED lights inside.

The 2021 Acura CDX bumper received original fang inserts, a trapezoidal air intake, as well as huge side sections covered with black plastic overlays and containing narrow fog lights.

The profile of the new body appears high but short. This impression is created by the chrome roof rails, the teardrop-shaped window system, strongly raised to the rear, as well as the smoothly rolling relief, resting against the massive plastic protection and large wheel arches.

Of the less significant details, it is worth noting the chrome-plated top and black-glossy bottom line around the windows, large outside mirrors with thick legs, equipped with turn signal repeaters, as well as large wheel rims of an interesting design.

The rear of the car looks rustic, despite the massive visor with a brake light repeater in the middle, a rather large glass and “ice floes” of parking lights with high-quality LED filling.

The main part of the trunk lid is, as it were, divided into two parts by a vertical rib running right through the center, and contains an area for a license plate and a bunch of nameplates.

The bumper here looks very modest and, in addition to a couple of additional lights along the edges, boasts chrome inserts, as well as a raised diffuser made of black plastic with large trapeziums of exhaust pipes set apart in the corners.

Interior

The interior of the new Acura CDX 2021 model year is finished with higher quality materials than before, among which you can find natural soft leather, two types of plastic, as well as ash and aluminum inserts.

The multimedia equipment of the car has also significantly improved, and the seats have become slightly softer and got a more comfortable shape.

Control and management bodies

Despite the rather large dimensions of the center console, it does not look heavy. Right in the center, at the top, is the stylish 10.2-inch display of the infotainment monitor flanked by air vents.

Below is a climate control unit, consisting mainly of washers. There are several more control buttons nearby for additional options, but in general, the control is quite clear to everyone and does not raise questions even for a novice driver.

The central tunnel does not differ in width, but it is quite high and contains a technical panel with a washer, a selection of travel modes, several drawers for things closed by flaps, as well as a stylish armrest with another glove compartment.

Instead of a transmission lever, the driver will have buttons at their disposal, which is unusual, but according to the developers, it is very addictive.

Seating and passenger comfort

A panoramic roof, which is present in all trim levels of the model, will provide comfortable movement. There are five seats in the crossover, all of them have a rather interesting shape and soft filler, which will help not get tired on long journeys.

The front row is distinguished by developed lateral support, electric position adjustments and heating.

The back will easily fit three solid-built adults, who will be provided with heating, and in the absence of a central passenger, there will also be a multifunctional armrest, where even devices for recharging gadgets are built in.

Specifications

The heart of the 2021 Acura CDX will be a turbocharged gasoline «two-liter» with a return of 262 «horses».

An automatic transmission designed for 10 modes will work with this motor. But the drive can be chosen: either front or full.

In addition, the manufacturer announces a more powerful engine, the characteristics of which have not yet been disclosed.

You don’t even need a test drive to understand that the car will pick up speed and drive quickly, but you don’t have to rely on fuel efficiency here.

Options and prices

Initial configurations in terms of Russian money will cost about 2.6 million rubles. The price of the top versions will be more than 500 thousand rubles more.

Competing models

Among the direct competitors of the model, it is worth noting the «Germans» — Audi Q3 and Mercedes GLA, produced in China. In addition, Subaru Tribeca and Cadillac SRX are very close in parameters.
