British car company Aston Martin has decided to celebrate its 100th anniversary in an unusual way with the release of a special version of the Vantage A3. Vantage Roadster will be assembled in a limited edition with unique design solutions.

Exactly one hundred years ago, five prototypes of the classic roadster were produced at the Kensington plant, equipped with a 1.5-liter 11 hp engine.

Of these, only the third car has survived to this day, which was recently restored and is now in the factory museum.

The development of the «jubilee» modification was carried out by the specialists of the Q-department. They have given the roadster a unique radiator grille with brilliant aluminum surround and fine-mesh black pattern in the style of the aforementioned A3 model.

The novelty also features the classic Aston Martin logo and unique inserts on the front fenders. The latter are made in the same color as the aluminum hood of the 100-year-old car. Plus, you can see neat leather straps on them.

The engineers plan to assemble only three pieces with unique elements inspired by the 1921 model.

The exterior of the new car will be added with a black radiator grille with aluminum edging, black body color and 20-inch forged black wheels with bronze brake calipers.

The salon will receive leather trim in a chestnut shade. The Vantage gauge rims have also been cast in brass, and the original Aston Martin logo is featured throughout.

The redesigned anniversary version of the car was ordered by the Aston Martin HWM dealership, which is the company’s longest-serving retailer, in partnership with the company’s individual Q division.

Under the hood will be a turbocharged Mercedes-AMG V8 engine that can accelerate the car to 100 km / h in about 3.5 seconds.

The original A3 is slated to be unveiled at the centenary celebrations on June 26th, along with several rare Aston Martin models.

The novelty can be recognized by the characteristic silver inserts on the sides with an imitation of a strap that holds the engine compartment cover on the original sports car.

Other highlights include a black aluminum grille with 1921 emblem and bronze-tone calipers.

It is believed that Aston Martin began its history back in 1913, although the first car under the familiar name appeared only two years later.

One way or another, the pre-war copies of the «British» have not reached us — the oldest existing model is the 1921 A3 prototype.

At the very beginning of the 21st century, The Aston Martin Heritage Trust restored the car to perfect condition so that this year we can celebrate its centenary.

The gift was three Vantage A3 roadsters from the Q by Aston Martin division. Sports cars have no technical chips — it was decided to do with exclusive design inside and out.

The Aston Martin A3 is built at the Abingdon Road plant in Kensington, London. The prototype name indicates its number in a row of five pre-production cars.

The driving force is an 11-strong «four» 1.5, capable of accelerating the car to 136 km / h.

Inside the modern sports car, the brass rotors of the climate control system, the historical emblem, as well as the embroidery with the name of the company in the style of the 20s of the last century, are used.

Of course, there is a commemorative plaque for additional identification.

The similarity of the cars ends with the design touches. Under the hood of the Vantage roadster, a twin-turbo-eight 4.0 with a return of 510 hp is installed. and 685 N • m.

An eight-speed automatic is responsible for the transmission of traction to the rear axle.

Acceleration to the first 100 km / h from standstill takes 3.8 seconds, and the top speed with the roof up is 306 km / h.

The car will be shown live for the first time on June 26 at a place called the Dallas Burston Polo Club in Yorkshire.

There, among many other models of the brand, the original prototype of the Aston Martin A3 will be on display.

The circulation of the «jubilee» special version will be only three cars. Unfortunately, the cost of the modification has not been specified.
