The Audi E-Tron GT 2022 is a new electric sedan.
The world premiere of the new 2022 Audi E-Tron GT electric sedan will take place in February 2021. The manufacturer calls the novelty a «four-door coupe», although in fact it is a sedan with a sloping roof.
Design
The car is based on the concept presented in 2018. But unlike the latter, it has different bumpers, a modified diffuser, traditional door handles, different rims and more functional rear-view mirrors.
The interior of the Audi e-tron GT reflects the characteristic style of the German brand, which we have already seen in the Audi e-tron quattro crossover range.
All lines are clear and laconic, the architecture of the front panel, on which there are several monitors at once, is minimalistic.
This is facilitated by the stylish combination of finishing materials and the minimum number of physical switches for secondary functions, which have been replaced by touch-sensitive controls.
Specifications
The car will be offered in two all-wheel drive versions. The standard e-Tron GT has a front electric motor with a peak output of 238 hp. and rear 435 hp.
The total power of the installation is 476 hp. and 630 Nm. However, for 2.5 seconds, power can be increased to 530 hp. and 640 Nm.
Fast Charging is available, which recharges the battery in 5 minutes per 100 kilometers and fully recharges the battery in 25 minutes.
In Germany, the price of the Audi E-Tron GT 2022 will be 99,800 euros (about 8,940,000 rubles), RS — 138,200 euros (about 12,375,000 rubles).
Audi has unveiled the latest addition to its ever-growing electric range: an elegant four-door sedan with a low roofline and coupé shapes.
The E-tron GT is undoubtedly one of the most striking Audi vehicles we’ve seen in recent years. It sits at the top of the hierarchy of luxury models, both in terms of price and new technology.
With the e-tron GT, Audi has striven to balance everyday use with sporty performance. The manufacturer sees the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan as competitors of the novelty.
It is based on the VW Group’s high-performance J1 Performance platform developed by Porsche. The same platform is used by Taycan.
E-Tron GT 2022 is one of the most powerful production cars from Audi, available in two models: regular and heavy-duty RS.
Both versions feature an all-electric powertrain with two motors and a two-speed transmission for increased performance. The 86 kWh battery is designed for 488 km of track. A fast charging system is provided.
During the presentation, Audi focused on the duality of the e-tron GT, highlighting the company’s intention to combine luxury with sporty driving while also focusing on sustainability.
Special attention has been paid to the suspension and steering settings to ensure their adaptability.
Practicality has not been overlooked by the manufacturer: despite the low, wide roofline, Audi claims that the e-tron GT can comfortably accommodate four people with ample headroom. There’s also a 405-liter trunk with an additional 85 liters up front.
The exterior design features large wheels, a long wheelbase and a squat, flat «fit» that gives the e-tron GT a sporty look.
The back features a light design with traditional signature animation. Inside, the Audi e-tron GT offers a leather-free interior trim option, as well as the option to choose seats that have been made from recycled PET bottles.
