In any case, when purchasing such a car, you know what you are paying for — and here the conversation is not so much about power and the ability to take turns, but about exclusivity and luxury.

Externally, you can easily distinguish the «regular» Chiron from the Chiron Pur Sport version — the latter has too aggressive body kit.

The track hypercar is equipped with a large number of air intakes that provide cooling to the car’s units and improve aerodynamics, an oversized carbon splitter and a fixed wing, which is lighter and manually tuned to provide more downforce on the track. In addition, the car received unique wheels made of magnesium alloy, which allowed Bugatti engineers to save up to 15.8 kg of unsprung masses.

In general, the hypercar has become lighter by 50 kilograms, which has a positive effect on its handling. In addition, in order to reduce the weight, the interior of the hypercar «suffered» — now it is covered with Alcantara and has lost «unnecessary» parts.

In addition to all of the above, the Chiron Pur Sport has a retuned suspension — the engineers picked up 65% stiffer springs in the front and 33% stiffer springs in the rear.

Among other things, this provides negative camber, which also has a positive effect on the grip of the tires on the asphalt.

Finally, the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires have been specially developed for the Chiron Pur Sport, which in themselves provide additional traction.

Finally, the «heart» of the car was carried over from the original Chiron practically unchanged — the engineers only increased the maximum engine speed to 6,900 rpm.

Of course, the gearbox has undergone modifications, the transmissions of which have become shorter. The cherry on top of the improvements was an electronically limited maximum speed of 350 km / h.

What happened in practice? It would seem that a car worth more than $ 3 million should be perfect to drive, but this is not entirely true.

Yes, the «standard» Chiron is fast and relatively easy to drive, but all the modifications of the Pur Sport version have a very strong effect on its behavior, both on the road and on the track.

According to reviewers, «pure sport» is much better at cornering at high speeds than a «regular» hypercar. However, the high mass of almost two tons is not going anywhere, and some cheaper sports car will feel much better on the track.

But, nevertheless, such a car has every right to exist. It remains to be hoped that those 60 people who have purchased the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport for personal use will “walk” it at the nearest race track at least once a season.
