The company «Chevrolet» has been producing excellent sports cars for several decades, but restyling of these cars is carried out infrequently.

So fans of the brand waited a long time for the Chevrolet Camaro 2021, but in the end they saw a noticeably refreshed body and a slightly updated interior, while everything else underwent point, not the most noticeable changes.

However, the new model does not need global changes, because it will attract attention in the stream anyway, accelerate perfectly and deliver the most pleasant emotions from trips to the driver and passengers.

And a bonus will be the opportunity to buy a sports car, famous for its traditions, directly from domestic car dealers, on order.

Exterior

Judging by the photo, the American «stallion» came out quite «thoroughbred». Muscular relief transitions are organically complemented by smooth relief lines, and aggressive optical elements and large air intakes fit into all this.

In general, the novelty is easily identified with the Camaro models of previous generations.

The front end of the new body is low, but it has a solid length and width. Under the not the largest, but strongly tilted windshield, you can find a huge bonnet, in the center of which there is an elevation that passes at the rear into the «nostrils» of the air intake.

On the sides of this structure, there are longitudinal chopped and smooth transitions in height. In front of the hood, evil, narrow outlines of the frontal lighting equipment flaunt with bright boomerangs of daytime running lights.

Wedged between them is an oval-shaped radiator grille with a medium-sized pattern and a small gold Chevrolet badge.

The body kit looks very streamlined, and you can find a massive center trapezoid on it, closed by a grille with the same pattern as a little higher, turning into widened vertical slots on the sides, providing air flow to the front brakes.

The lower edge of the bumper is made in the form of an aerodynamic wing with a barely visible protective strip.

The profile projection of the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro attracts attention with a long and rounded roofline, immediately below which there are two miniature windows in black plastic edging, assembled into a teardrop shape.

In front of this structure, you can find large exterior mirrors on graceful legs, and below — smooth relief transitions, visually expanding the sidewalls.

A sharp edge rises at the back, from the middle of the doors, emphasizing the high stern. In addition, the relief adds volume to the huge circular wheel arches with stylish discs inside, as well as wide, but short sills.

The rear of the Camaro features a small sloping glass and a tall but short bonnet with a huge aerodynamic wing at the trailing edge.

The narrow, long LED lights look very original here, between which there was a place for an additional brake light and the Chevrolet emblem.

All that is below is a plastic body kit with stamping under the registration plate and aerodynamic transitions in height, as well as a massive insert of black plastic, which found a place for fog strips, an air intake slot and two huge twin barrels to complete the exhaust system.

Interior

The interior of the new 2021 Chevrolet Camaro is characterized by a combination of well-proven elements and high-tech features.

Of the finishing materials, it is worth highlighting high-quality leather, plastic, metals, and in some versions — and Alcantara.

The entertainment complex will satisfy the needs of the most demanding driver, and the seats will allow you to fully enjoy the high-speed capabilities of the sports car.

Control and management bodies

The massive steering wheel with a cut at the bottom, as well as an abundance of buttons and decorative inserts on the spokes, clearly hints at the sporty character of the car.

Immediately behind it is an instrument panel with two round wells of the main sensors and several auxiliary ones between them. An informative on-board computer can work here in several modes.

The dashboard is distinguished by smooth curves and, right in the middle, contains a large touchscreen multimedia display, which can also be controlled using buttons.

Round stylish air ducts «a la Mercedes» are raised at the edges and shifted down to the area of ​​the central tunnel, located directly next to the air conditioning unit.

Below, the already imposing central tunnel begins with an original interspersed technical panel in chrome edging right in the center.

There are also cup holders and several compartments for storing small items, the largest of which is located in the armrest.

Seats and trunk

Despite the fact that the car is formally considered a four-seater, only people of short stature will be relatively comfortable on the back sofa.

But the front semi-sports buckets have an excellent anatomical shape, medium soft filler, heating circuits and a system of precise position adjustments.

The seats themselves can be upholstered in fabric or leather and feature stylish stitching that enhances the luxury of the cabin.

But the trunk in the car is frankly small: its indicators do not even reach 400 liters, which, however, is not so important for a sports car.

Specifications

The heart of the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro will be a 3.6-liter gasoline engine with 322 horsepower.

The characteristics of 6.2-liter engines are more interesting: already 400 and 455 forces, depending on the specification.

The drive will be available exclusively in rear, but the gearbox can be chosen: either a 6-speed manual, or an automatic for 8 or 10 gears.

As the test drive showed, the car will literally «shoot» from a standstill, gaining the first hundred in less than 5 seconds.

True, you will have to pay for this with increased fuel consumption, which, however, is a usual thing for buyers of these cars.

Options and prices

For a car in the simplest configuration, you will need to pay 2.98 million rubles.

The price of the most equipped versions will be about 2 million more units of the domestic currency.
