Dacia Jogger 2022.

The new seven-seat station wagon Dacia Jogger is unveiled.
At the beginning of September twenty-first the premiere of the new model Dacia Jogger has taken place.

In fact, under this name hides a station wagon based on the Logan of the new (third) generation.

From the outside, the Dacia Jogger 2022 has the same front end as the Renault Logan 3.

At the same time, the wagon boasts an elevated roof and enlarged rear door openings, while its stern has a one-piece liftgate.

Interestingly, the model is already prepared for an «all-road» version Extreme (pictured), which can be easily identified by the presence of a characteristic plastic dodger «around the circumference».

As for the interior, the developers compare it with a «Swiss knife».

So, there could be 64 configurations of seats only. In base Dacia Jogger has two rows of seats, and the rear one is 55 mm higher than the front.

Folding tables and a full third row are available for extra charge. The last one is 25 mm higher than the second one and can accept two adult passengers. Also the seven-seater version is equipped with tiltable rear window.

As for the interior, its front part is identical to the new Logan. The steering wheel is adjustable in pitch and height, but the base version can not boast with the «music».

By default, the car is equipped with the Media Control system, which includes a USB-connector, two speakers, a mount for a gadget and Bluetooth connection.

By installing a special application, the owner will be able to connect your smartphone to the car and use it instead of the regular multimedia, and you can control the music from the buttons on the steering wheel.

Senior versions (or for an additional fee) will get a full entertainment system, Media Display, equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen.

The new Dacia Jogger has a length of 4,547 mm, while having a wheelbase of 2,897 mm.

Thus, in front of us is the longest model of the Romanian brand. In turn, the width of the car is 1 784 mm, and height — 1 632 mm. Declared ground clearance is solid 200 mm.

The trunk of five-seat version has a length of 1 150 mm, and its volume is equal to 708 liters. The seats of the second row can be folded down, thus increasing the capacity to 1,819 liters.

The three-row station wagon has no spacious luggage compartment: the volume is only 160 liters by default, and 565 liters with folded seats.

Note that in the luggage compartment are 12-volt socket and two hooks for packages, and throughout the cabin is «scattered» a few more useful niches and compartments with a total volume of 24 liters.

On the market, the new Dacia Jogger will be offered only with front-wheel drive and a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder TCe engine, working in conjunction with a six-speed manual.

The engine in the base petrol version produces 110 hp (200 Nm). (200 Nm), and on the gasoline-propane variant Eco-G — 101 hp. (170 Nm).

According to the automaker, the range of the dual-fuel station wagon reaches 1,100 km (it has a 50-liter gasoline tank and a 40-liter gas tank).

At the beginning of 2023, the company plans to bring to market a hybrid version of the station wagon, which will be the first gasoline-electric model in Dacia’s lineup.

It is expected that such car will receive E-Tech installation, familiar from some Renault models.

The latter consists of a 1.6-liter atmospheric engine, an electric motor, a starter-generator and a three-pedal transmission without clutch.

Peak power is 140 horsepower, and the Yag battery has a capacity of only 1.2 kWh.

The list of basic equipment of the Romanian station wagon is presented by diode dipped beam and roof rails, load capacity of which is claimed to be 80 kg.

For safety the driver can get six airbags, blind spot monitoring and automatic braking system which can work at speeds up to 170 km/h.

A rain sensor, rear view camera, start button, climate control and electromechanical handbrake are offered for extra charge.

On the European market, sales of the Dacia Jogger will start in February 2022.

It is expected that the basic version of the model will cost less than 15 thousand euros (1.3 million rubles at the current exchange rate).

Then the station wagon will appear in some countries outside the Old World (eg, Turkey and Israel), and already under the Renault brand.

In Russia, however, this car is not worth waiting for, because AvtoVAZ only recently updated the Largus.
