Ford has unveiled an updated version of the 2022 Fiesta ST hatchback.
The new Ford Fiesta ST 2022 has been officially unveiled with a number of important refinements.

The small Ford sports car has received a new design, different equipment and excellent equipment. Under the hood is a gasoline engine that develops 200 horsepower.

Also worth mentioning are the multifunction sports steering wheel and the matte carbon-finish film with red inserts.

Ford has removed the diesel engine from the engine range, while adding a hybrid modification.

Now the compact hatchback is offered with a liter turbocharged three-cylinder unit with the option to add an electric unit as an option.

The sporty Fiesta ST uses a conventional 197-hp gasoline engine.

The new Fiesta ST is also equipped with Tenneco dual-tube front shock absorbers for tight corners and high levels of handling.

Special mention should be made of the optional Quaife mechanical limited slip differential, which provides increased traction and cornering agility.

You can also customize the vehicle’s behavior with a choice of driving modes that includes Normal, Sport and Track profiles.

Judging by the lack of additional body hatches, the manufacturer won’t be offering a plug-in hybrid just yet.

However, Ford recently announced plans to make its European passenger car lineup all-electric by 2030.

As part of this strategy, the company will introduce a PHEV version for every model by mid-2026. Hence, waiting for the Fiesta PHEV.

The timing of the company’s strategy calls into question the future of the Fiesta, as the car’s current lifecycle should end in 2024/2025, and any modification released after that date will only sell for a few years before Ford ditches the classic fuel.

It remains to be seen what fate awaits the popular city compact.
