GAC GS4 Plus 2021. The GAC GS5 crossover was renamed the GS4 Plus after a slight restyling.
The Chinese company GAC has presented an updated version of the Trumpchi GS5 crossover (sold in Russia as the GAC GS5).
It is curious that as part of the restyling, the model changed its name — now it is «Trumpchi GS4 Plus».
Note that in the model range of the brand there is a GS4 SUV, but the updated «ex-five» is not related to it — both cars are built on different platforms.
One way or another, the GAC Trumpchi GS4 Plus received a modified «face», and for the crossover grille, two types of design were proposed at once, which, according to the designers’ idea, are designed to resemble the different position of the eagle’s wings.
The car also got new bumpers, and the luminous bridge between the lights at the stern has disappeared.
Among the innovations in the cabin, it is worth noting the emergence of a new generation multimedia system ADiGO 4.0 with expanded online capabilities.
In addition, the restyled crossover has acquired an unfixed transmission selector, new buttons on the steering wheel and a revised design of a virtual instrument panel, which is not yet assigned to the Russian version of the model.
Plus, a two-tone upholstery option has become available for the interior.
Due to the new «plumage» in length, the GAC GS4 Plus has grown to 4,710 mm (+ 15), but its wheelbase remains the same — 2,710 mm.
The width and height have not changed either — they are equal to 1,885 and 1,726 mm, respectively.
The line of power units of the model is represented by the previous 1.5-liter «turbo four» with a capacity of 169 forces, but there is also an alternative — this is a two-liter turbo engine with 252 hp, which is equipped with the flagship GAC GS8.
Both units are in tandem with a classic six-speed automatic, which transfers traction to the front axle.
In the Chinese market, the restyled Trumpchi GS4 Plus will appear in the third quarter of 2021 at a price of $ 21,000 (1,540,000 rubles at the current exchange rate), that is, the model will rise in price by $ 1,000 (73,000 rubles).
There is no information about the sales of the updated crossover in Russia yet.
