Geely continues to gradually declassify its new Xingyue L crossover (something like «zenyu el», before there was only a factory index KX11): we have already seen the model in the official pictures, and now the characteristics have been announced.

Recall that the SUV is built on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform, created by the Chinese together with Volvo (the Swedish brand belongs to the «celestial» auto giant).
The same «cart» underlies the Geely Xingyue cross-coupe (yes, the models have the same names, only the coupe has no prefix, and in Russia it is Tugella), the Geely Preface sedan, most cars of the Lynk & Co brand (a joint project of Geely and Volvo) and the Volvo XC40 SUV.
So, for the Xingyue L, the Volvo 2.0 Drive-E series petrol turbo four, familiar from other models of the Geely holding, has been confirmed.
The engine has two power options — 218 or 238 hp. (325 and 350 Nm, respectively). The basic version is combined with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches, the second is an eight-speed automatic Aisin.
The issue with all-wheel drive has also become clear — it will be, but only in a crossover with a 238-horsepower engine (with a BorgWarner clutch on the rear axle).
The front-wheel drive Xingyue L with a 218-horsepower engine, as Geely said, will gain the first “hundred” in 7.9 seconds, and the top version (that is, with 4WD and 238-horsepower engine) will do this exercise in 7.7 seconds.
In terms of its dimensions, the new Geely SUV is not far from the restyled Hyundai Santa Fe. The length of the «Chinese» is 4770 mm, width — 1895 mm, height — 1689 mm, wheelbase — 2845 mm.
Dimensions «Korean»: 4785/1900/1685 mm, while the distance between the axes of Santa is less — 2765 mm.
The exterior features of the Xingyue L are a grille with «concave» vertical wedges, which makes the crossover resemble Volvo models, LED headlights with integrated LED «strokes» of running lights and taillights combined with a luminous strip.
The main «chip» inside is the «scoreboard» stretched over almost the entire width of the front panel. Geely calls it a «display panel» and claims to be 1 meter long.
In reality, these are two separate screens hidden under one glass. That is, the front passenger has its own touchscreen.
There is also a third display — a virtual «tidy», and it is isolated. By the way, only a five-seater salon is announced for the crossover.

In short, the car will be able to find a free space and park on its own.
The public presentation of the Geely Xingyue L will take place at the Shanghai Auto Show, which opens on April 19.
The crossover will most likely be sent for export, but for other countries, most likely, they will come up with an original name, and not Tugella L.
