Honda Passport 2022.

The updated Honda Passport 2022 has received an «off-road» version of the Trailsport.

Honda has presented a seriously updated version of the two-row crossover Passport.

According to the developers’ idea, restyling is intended to spur the sales of the model that so far leave much to be desired.

For example, at the end of the twentieth year in the States only 40,000 copies of Honda Passport were sold, while seven-seat Pilot bought about 124,000 people.

Updated crossover received a new front bumper and front fenders, and these components have been borrowed from the Honda Ridgeline pickup.

Plus the car has acquired a different grille, but it is already original here.

The stern of the truck received a new bumper and bigger tailpipes. The car also got the basic 18-inch wheels, while previously all versions by default had rims of 20″.

All this allowed making the updated 2022 Honda Passport look more solid and even brutal in some places.

As for the interior, the interior of the car has changed except for decorative stitching.

Note that the «off-road» variant of the Passport Trailsport is shown on the demo photos, which has slightly different grille with honeycomb pattern, bumper guards and 10 mm wider track.

The special edition is equipped with 18-inch wheels with the original design and 245/60 tires.

Its interior draws attention with orange décor. According to the developers, this variant may receive off-road tires with reinforced suspension in the future.

To order the Honda Passport 2022 in the new body is possible only with a 3.5-liter V6 engine rated at 284 hp, working in conjunction with a nine-speed automatic.

Drive of the crossover can be both forward, and full drive, and in the latter case we speak about a proprietary system i-VTM4 with individual clutches for connection of rear wheels.

The list of standard equipment of the model included the warning system for «forgotten» passengers (eg, children) and unfastened belts.

But the number of kitting became noticeably smaller.

So, the company abandoned the Sport and Touring versions, so only EX-L and Elite versions are left, as well as a new off-road TrailSport.

By the way, in the future the latter should appear in other models of the brand.

Honda Performance Development (HPD) package is available for extra charge.

The latter is familiar from the pickup Ridgeline and involves the use of different wheels, plastic wheel arch extenders, grille with a special pattern and characteristic body decals.

In the States sales of the updated Honda Passport 2022 will start next winter, but how will the cost of the model change is not specified yet.
