Hyundai Tucson 2022.

Hyundai has unveiled a novelty for 2022 — the Tucson model. In fact, sales of this car began in Korea back in September this year.

Now, the crossover is gradually conquering other car markets outside of Korea. In the first half of 2021, the novelty will appear in the USA, Russia and other countries.

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson is equipped with both traditional gasoline engines and hybrid powertrains.

The main engine is a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter SmartStream that produces 287 hp. and 178 Nm of torque.

It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. According to the manufacturer, the new engine will be more economical than the previous version of the 2.4-liter engine.

The hybrid powertrain includes a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, electric motor and battery. The power of the gasoline turbocharged engine is 177 hp, the power of the electric motor is 59 hp, and the energy capacity of the battery is 1.49 kWh.

This adds up to 226 hp. and 258 Nm of torque. This hybrid setup sends power to the wheels through a specially tuned six-speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai promises that their company’s hybrid powertrain uses 30% less fuel and 20% more torque than the standard engine.

Also, the power reserve of the novelty is more than 800 kilometers. In addition, Hyundai offers customers the option to install a proprietary HTRAC AWD all-wheel drive system, which was specially developed for electrified models.

If we compare the dimensions of the Hyundai Tucson 2022 with the previous version, then it is obvious that the new product is larger than its predecessor in all respects. Perhaps this was facilitated by the installation of a hybrid power unit. But one way or another, the new items are now much more spacious in the cabin.

One of the most interesting features of the novelty is the Remote Smart Park Assist system.

The system is said to be capable of parking and exiting a parking space without a driver. There is a video on the web demonstrating this feature.

Also, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson will offer a sports version of the N Line. It will differ from the standard in a more aggressive appearance and interior details.

The sports version of the N Line will go on sale in the spring of 2021, and all information regarding its characteristics will be announced closer to the start of sales.
