How much does the new Jeep Renegat 2021 cost in Russia: the price of the model on the official dealer’s website in Moscow varies from 1,710,000 to 2,574,000 rubles.

The car is sold in four trim levels: Sport, Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk. Specifications Jeep Renegade include three gasoline engines: two turbocharged 1.4 and 2.4-liter aspirated.

The initial version comes with front-wheel drive, mechanics or robotics, and the top-end versions have an all-wheel drive transmission and a nine-band automatic.

The SUV in the basic Sport configuration has 16-inch steel wheels, ABS, ESP, automatic parking brake, audio system, trip computer, air conditioning and Uconnect multimedia system with a 5.0-inch touchscreen.

Also, the initial version has front and rear power windows, steering wheel adjustment, driver’s seat height adjustment, hill start assist system, central locking with remote control, electrically adjustable mirrors and six airbags.

The more expensive Longitude version has 16-inch alloy wheels, and the list of equipment has been expanded with rear parking sensors, heated mirrors, passive cruise control, heated steering wheel and seats, and fog lights.

Next comes the Limited version, which includes a rear differential lock, rain and light sensors, climate control, multimedia with a 7.0-inch display and support for Android Auto / Apple CarPlay, a navigation system, front parking sensors and 17 ″ wheels.

The top-of-the-range Trailhawk also boasts a downshift and a descent assist system.

The new Jeep Renegade 2021 body is built on the platform of the Fiat 500X model, while the American crossover has a fully independent suspension with MacPherson struts on the front axle and a multi-link on the rear.

The car is also equipped with disc brakes, and they are also ventilated on the front wheels. Basic versions have front-wheel drive, and older versions come with a plug-in full.

Interestingly, there are two all-wheel drive transmissions for the car: Active Drive and Active Drive Low, the latter being the most «off-road» version of the Trailhawk. Jeep Renegade has the following overall dimensions, mm:

The trunk volume of the compact crossover is only 351 liters, but by folding the rear seats, the hold capacity can be increased to 1,297 liters.

The model has a 48-liter fuel tank. Depending on the configuration, the curb weight ranges from 1,395 to 1,650 kg.

The most affordable version of the Jeep Renegade is a 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbo engine with 140 hp. and 230 Nm.

It can work either in tandem with a six-speed manual or with a six-speed robot. The drive in both cases is exclusively front-wheel drive.

Cars with manual transmission are capable of accelerating from zero to hundreds in 11.8 seconds, and their maximum speed reaches 181 km / h.

The version with a robotic gearbox is noticeably faster: it copes with acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 9.5 seconds, although the maximum speed is the same here.

A more advanced version of the Renegade is equipped with a turbocharger of the same volume, but with a capacity of 170 forces (250 Nm).  She works with a nine-speed automatic, and the drive is extremely full. Acceleration from 0-100 km / h of this version is given in 8.8 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 196 km / h.

In addition, the car can be ordered with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder aspirated, developing 175 «mares» and 232 Nm of torque.

This option has a nine-speed automatic and four-wheel drive. Acceleration to hundreds is possible here in 9.8 s, and the maximum speed is 180 kilometers per hour.

Even with older engines, the 2021 Jeep Renegade cannot be called a dynamic car, which is already noticeable by the manufacturer’s declared acceleration time from zero to hundreds.

In the city, the power of a compact SUV is enough for the eyes, but on the highway its lack is clearly felt (especially when overtaking at speed).

Top-end motors work in tandem with a nine-speed automatic, the operation of which does not arise any questions. He gets along well with the engines, shifting gears quickly and correctly.

At the same time, the car compensates for its not the most dynamic character with an omnivorous suspension and good cross-country ability, and especially in this regard, the Trailhawk version, which is most prepared for off-road conditions, with increased ground clearance and better geometric cross-country ability, stands out.

The interior of the compact Jeep Renegade is spacious enough, which cannot be said about the trunk.

The front seats of the car have a wide range of adjustments, which makes it possible to comfortably accommodate even men above average height. The seats themselves are comfortable, with developed lateral support.

With ergonomics, the model is in complete order: all controls are located exactly where you expect them to be, although the drive mode selector washer is low, which is why the driver has to be distracted from the road while driving — it is inconvenient to switch without looking.

But certain questions arise about the visibility of the cabin: the car has too massive front struts, and for some reason the front side windows are divided into two parts.
