The new body of the KIA K900 stands out for its revised appearance and modern technical equipment, so the manufacturer is confident that the car will be warmly received both in the home market and beyond.

The start of sales of the model in Russia fell on the beginning of the nineteenth year, and on behalf of Quoris it was decided to refuse, but this was the decision of the head office. The assembly of machines for our market was set up at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad.

The overall length of the 2020 Kia K900 model year has increased to 5 210 mm (+ 25), and the wheelbase to 3 105 mm (+ 60). The car turned out to be 15 mm wider (1 915 mm), and its height has not changed — the previous 1 490 mm.

The Koreans have increased the proportion of high-strength steels in the body structure, thereby increasing its rigidity by 46%, the curb weight varies from 2,059 to 2,195 kg.

Air suspension is no longer even available as an option, and only electronically controlled shock absorbers can be ordered for a surcharge.

There are three powertrains on the domestic market for the K900. The base is a 3.8-liter naturally aspirated «six» with a capacity of 315 hp, and a notch higher is the 370-horsepower V6 3.3 T-GDI turbo engine.

At the top of the range is a 5.0-liter engine developing 425 «horses». All engines work in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic.

By default, the sedan has rear-wheel drive, but for a surcharge, an all-wheel drive transmission with a clutch for connecting the front axle has become available.

The Russian version of the model provides for two engines — a 3.3-liter engine with 249 forces (347 Nm) and a top-end V8 with a volume of 5.0, delivering 413 «horses» and 505 Nm of torque. Moreover, both options come only with four-wheel drive.

Exterior

A team of experts from Namyang and California worked on the design of the new Kia K900 2020.

By joining forces, they tried to embody the concept of Gravity of Prestige («Attraction of prestige») in the appearance of the car, according to which the sedan should exude luxury and poise.

At the front, the car has a wider radiator grille with a striking chrome bezel and a 176-cell fine-mesh structure.

Also, the flagship has got LED headlights with stylish Duplex Comet pattern («double comet»).

The central air intake and side sections of the front bumper are additionally accentuated by a chrome insert running along the bottom, a small spoiler is registered on the trunk lid. Plus, two massive diamond-shaped exhaust pipes appeared at the stern.

In profile, the new Kia K900 2020 model turned out to be noticeably stricter than its predecessor.

Koreans have given up some intricate curves, so there are more straight lines in the exterior design. The silhouette as a whole has become more sporty and fit, and small windows have appeared for the first time in the C-pillars.

For the new sedan, seven different body shades are prepared, as well as several options for wheel rims. By default, the car is fitted with 19-inch alloy wheels with 245/45 and 245/40 tires at the front and rear, respectively.

Salon

The company tried to maintain the interior in the spirit of luxurious minimalism, so the number of analog keys and switches was reduced from 91 to 73. Passengers are provided with a premium Lexicon audio system, as well as ambient lighting with 64 different colors.

The latter has seven options for work, and the illuminated buttons are equipped with sensors that can catch the approach of fingers and temporarily enhance the backlight.

For rear passengers, the new K900 can offer power seats and multimedia displays.
