Kia Sportage 2023.

The Kia brand has announced an updated Sportage 2023 crossover with a debut date of Oct. 27.

Kia is preparing to debut the redesigned Sportage crossover, which will premiere on Oct. 27.

As an announcement, the brand showed a teaser image of the novelty.

Judging by the teaser, the new crossover will get a wide grille surrounded by LED boomerang-shaped headlights.

The model also features tighter lines and a rear trunk door that has some replicas from the electric EV6.

X-Line and GT-Line sport variants will also appear.

Some of the biggest changes will come in the cabin, as the 2023 Sportage will get a more modern and luxurious interior.

Highlights should include a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, a 12.3-inch infotainment system and a rotary switch.

Expect options such as heated and ventilated front seats, a premium Harman Kardon audio system, and advanced driver assistance systems such as a highway driving assistant.

The global version of the model gets a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under the hood with 178 hp and 264 Nm of torque.

Motorists can also choose a hybrid version of the crossover, which features the aforementioned engine as well as an electric motor and a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

This setup improves fuel efficiency as well as boosts power to 227 hp.

The hybrid setup builds on the standard hybrid by adding a more powerful electric motor and a 13.8 kWh lithium-ion battery.

The model also has an impressive combined output of 261 hp.

The Sportage is built on the N3 platform, which is the base of the Carnival, K5 and Sorento foreign cars.

The model should also offer adaptive suspension and a new Terrain Mode, which automatically adjusts the settings of the Sportage so that the car will realize optimum driving dynamics for any road conditions, including snow, mud and sand.

It is not yet known when the European and Russian versions will be available on the car market.

Kia keeps heating up the interest of American customers to its updated Sportage crossover.

According to published information, the novelty will get a massive grille with boomerang-shaped LED headlights and a trunk door in the style of the electric crossover KIA EV6.

In the interior, the updated car will get a 12.3-inch digital dashboard and the same size screen of the multimedia system.

The model is expected to be equipped with heated and ventilated front seats, advanced driver assistance systems and Harman Kardon sound system.

Motor range of the crossover will include a 1.6-liter turbo engine with 180 hp and 264 Nm of torque, as well as hybrid power plant based on the same engine with a total capacity of 230 hp.

A more powerful hybrid with 265 hp output is not excluded.
