Land Rover has unveiled the 2023 Discovery Metropolitan Edition SUV, which is already available for booking in the United States.

The Metropolitan Edition is at the top of the Discovery lineup and is based on the top-of-the-line R-Dynamic HSE variant.

Land Rover has equipped it with bright satin on the front grille and the Discovery lettering.

In addition, the luxury SUV receives 22-inch Diamond Turned alloy wheels with Gloss Grey finish and black brake calipers. The bumpers are decorated with spectacular Hakuba Silver inserts.

The interior of the special series has an unusual decoration made of titanium mesh.

This flagship SUV has a projection screen, heated steering wheel, third row of seats with power and heating, four-zone climate control, and so on.

The engine is the same: it is a three-liter six-cylinder Ingenium with a 48-volt mild hybrid and output of 355 hp.

The flagship Discovery Metropolitan Edition 2023 costs at least $75,300 (over 5.4 million rubles). For comparison, the most affordable standard Discovery is valued at $56,600 (4.06 million rubles).

Special Edition is based on the top-version R-Dynamic HSE, but has extended equipment and a number of unique features.

Outside the special Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan can be recognized by a different grille with «Bright Atlas» finish and made in the same style of the inscription «Discovery».

The lower part of the front bumper is decorated with a silver «Hakuba Silver» inset. Additionally the car has received tinted glass in the rear doors and a sliding panoramic roof.

The wheels of the car painted 22-inch alloy wheels «Diamond Turned», which at the same time have a finish «Gloss Grey» and black brake calipers.

For the interior design the British used Titanium Mesh décor. The base SUV already has wireless phone charging, a cooled front compartment, projection display, heated steering wheel and four-zone climate control.

It is known that Discovery Metropolitan will appear in Russia, and here such SUV will be possible to order with a powerful petrol motor Ingenium P360 and 48-volt superstructure Mild-Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV).

No information about the cost of this variant is available yet. We should also note that 2022 model year SUVs in the R-Dynamic package now have a gloss black roof as standard.
