There are five power plants to choose from, but there are no diesels.
In the interior of the Cayenne Coupe, it’s time to remember the children’s Spot the Ten Differences pictures. In front, looking for differences from the usual Porsche Cayenne is generally useless.

The dashboard and other elements of the interior decoration they are twin brothers. The only difference is that the basic and optional finishes are different for cars, but the set of available options is the same.

The instrument cluster is classic Porsche: an analogue tachometer in the middle flanked by a pair of customizable LCD displays. It reads excellently and also very beautiful!

The only mistake ergonomists and designers have missed is the center console. Although the touch keys are responsive to pressing, they are inconvenient to control by touch, without being distracted from the road.

And they instantly become covered with a layer of fingerprints, making the interior look messy. This is a problem with any car with a similar solution, but in an almost perfect Porsche Cayenne Coupe it is especially annoying.

Sitting back is comfortable without any reservations. Yes, the roofline is understated, but the car is initially high and spacious, so it will be difficult even for a tall passenger to touch the top of the head on the «door frame».

The task of building an uncompromising coupe like the same 911 was not worth it, so the comfort in the back seat remained at a high level. Is that the longitudinal adjustment of the sofa halves has disappeared. It was abandoned in order to lower the seat 30 mm down.

The result is so much air overhead that only the side window slightly trimmed along the top line reminds of the compartment essence of the car.

For the rest, comfort is at a height: a full-fledged four-zone «climate», seat heating, electric shutters in the doors … The back seat can be two- or three-seater.

It’s a thankless job to tell you how a Porsche drives. Excellent, of course! The Cayenne Coupe makes the driver forget that it weighs more than two tons, and prescribes turns like a compass.

A whole arsenal of technical refinements works to create a magical effect: air suspension with three-chamber struts, active anti-roll bars, adaptive shock absorbers.

In the third generation, the Cayenne (and with it the Cayenne Coupe, of course) became fully driven. The rear wheels steer a maximum of three degrees, but this is enough to make changes at high speed more accurate, and in parking mode, reduce the turning circle by 0.6 m.

For the first time in the world, the model is equipped with cast iron brake discs coated with tungsten carbide.

It improves braking performance and significantly reduces dust from erased brake pads.

Such brakes are standard on the Turbo version, and for simpler crossovers they are offered for a surcharge.

All Cayenne Coupes are equipped with an 8-speed automatic and permanent all-wheel drive. But the power plants to choose from as many as five.

There are no diesels: Porsche completely abandoned them after the diesel gate. And this is a serious blow, because in the past, Cayenne buyers have chosen the version with heavy fuel engines most often.

Gasoline versions develop 340, 440 and 550 hp. sec., providing a throw from standstill to hundreds in 6.0, 5.0 and 3.9 seconds, respectively.

There are two more hybrids with a capacity of 462 and 680 forces. The top modification reaches almost 300 km / h in the limit.

Noise isolation is excellent, although if you want, you can turn off the music, activate the sport mode settings and enjoy the songs of the engine and tuned release.

Joints and potholes thanks to the air suspension are worked out with minimal discomfort for passengers. Even though the wheels are less than 20 inches in diameter, the Cayenne Coupe is not fitted.

But the choice between the two types of rear seat is free. By default, they put a two-seater with a box in the middle, and this concept of a coupe is more suitable.

If you need three seats, get them at no additional cost.

For a 340-horsepower Cayenne Coupe in Russia, you need to pay at least 5,877,000 rubles. A car with the letter S and 440 forces costs from 7 630 000.

Turbo version about 550 «horses» starts at 11,013,000 rubles. A simpler hybrid is priced at 7,958,000 rubles, and the top-end Cayenne Coupe Turbo S E-Hybrid with a 680 hp installation will cost at least 12,863,000 rubles.

At the same time, in acceleration to hundreds, it is only a tenth of a second faster than Turbo.

Of course, the cost of each modification can be easily increased by several million more by walking through the items from the list of options.

But the initial choice can be anything: every Porsche Cayenne Coupe is trained to drive amazingly and give every minute of pleasure.
