Restyling review
The current generation Mazda CX9 has been in production since 2015, and so far this 5-meter full-size SUV is not going to give way to a new and more modern version, as it remains a highly sought-after crossover.
Interest in it is successfully fueled by timely targeted improvements, the last of which took place last August. Motorists from the USA have already got acquainted with the list of improvements, where the model has found its main sales market.
Soon the latest version of the Japanese crossover will reach Russia, and the Sollers plant in Vladivostok continues to assemble the new 2021 Mazda CX9 body for Russia.
Body
There is also news on the design of the new body of the Mazda CX9 2021: a package called Carbon Edition has been added to the list of trim levels, which gives the SUV a beautiful gray shade of Polymetal Gray, paints black rims, a false radiator grille, side mirror housings, and decorates the interior in black decor, contrasting with the red leather upholstery of the chairs.
Other body colors remain in the range, which have not changed in size:

Technical stuffing
The facelifted 2021 Mazda CX-9 has the only engine available — the 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G turbo petrol engine. In the American version, it produces 253 liters. from. and 434 Nm, and in the «Russian» — 231 liters. from. and 420 Nm.
In the role of transmission — a 6-speed «automatic», which is placed on both front-wheel drive modifications, and all-wheel drive versions equipped with the i-ACTIV AWD system, including an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch.
Modifications and options in Russia
The updated full-size Mazda CX9 of the 2021 model year will appear in Russia no earlier than spring, so until that time dealers will continue to sell the «old» crossovers.
There will be four equipment options:

• Supreme;
• Exclusive;
• Executive.
The initial configuration of the CX9 will mean the presence of six airbags, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, rain and light sensors, three-zone «climate», power windows on all doors, heated exterior mirrors with electric drives, a rearview camera and 18-inch alloy wheels.
In the most expensive version, the SUV will have heated all seats, ventilation for the front seats, premium Nappa leather in the interior trim, Bose audio system, keyless entry and push-button engine start, a fifth door servo, all-round cameras, a head-up display, 20-inch wheels and a whole range security systems (recognition of road signs, keeping in lane, monitoring of «blind» zones, etc.)
