This all-electric parkcar has aroused the interest of buyers all over the world, especially in Europe, where the brand is already preparing interesting updates for the 2022 model.

These improvements will appear throughout the Mustang Mach-E range next spring.

Note that Ford is constantly upgrading its electric parkcar in order to maintain interest among buyers.

Notably, few experts predicted the success of this model, especially in Europe.

But the reaction of public turned out to be opposite. Even today, experts of the American brand are working in their laboratories on important improvements of the Mustang Mach-E, which will affect its technical part.

The debut of the updated model should take place in February 2022.

It is expected that with this update the manufacturer will increase the range of the car, but at the same time the battery capacity will remain the same — 98.8 kWh.

Although in some versions the output of the battery will still increase. However, this improvement will become the so-called battery safety reserve.

With the new battery the autonomy of the car will increase by about 16 kilometers.

Basically, this is the main improvement that awaits the 2022 model year Ford Mustang Mach-E.

On the plus side, however, the company will launch a wireless software upgrade.

To get it, car owners will not have to visit dealerships in person.

In addition, the American model will get a larger front luggage compartment. Engineers will eliminate the partitions inside, thereby increasing the capacity from 81 to 100 liters.

While this isn’t a big improvement, it should also play a role in terms of ultimate capacity.

Electric crossover in its «charged» version can go on a single charge 434.5 km (the calculation was conducted on the cycle used in the U.S. EPA).

The first independent electric car Ford became the Mustang Mach-E (if we do not take into account the «green» versions of models based on gasoline cars).

Despite the fact that the model was introduced back in the fall of 2019, sales of the crossover in the home market started relatively recently, in December 2020.

According to the Carsalesbase website, dealers sold a total of 10,513 cars in the U.S. by the end of May this year.

Recall, the «electric parkette» coupe body, a plug, located in place of a traditional grille, and it has a signature mark of the classic Mustang, which is duplicated on the stern of the car — the corporate «blue oval» Ford on the model is not.

The Mustang Mach-E has LED headlights, a panoramic roof, and sports car-style lights. In addition, the doors don’t have traditional handles: they were replaced by buttons on the pillars.

The cabin is located two displays — one of them is a virtual «dashboard» (diagonal — 10.2 inches), and in the center of the front panel is a vertical «tablet» multimedia system (diagonal — 15.5 inches).

The list of equipment includes Co-Pilot360 complex, which includes adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, automatic switching of headlights, lane-keeping and blind spot monitoring systems.

The top version of the Ford Mustang Mach-E is the GT (as well as the special GT Performance Edition).

The total output of the two-engine «electric crossover» unit is 487 hp, and the maximum torque is 814 Nm (the variant with prefix Performance Edition — 860 Nm).

To accelerate from a place up to «hundred» (up to 97 km/h), these cars need 3.7 and 3.5 seconds, respectively.

As previously reported, the rated range on a single charge of Ford Mustang Mach-E GT is 402 km, and with a special GT Performance Edition it is equal to 378 km.

The company has now confirmed the EPA-certified range figures.

According to the inspection, the actual results are higher than originally announced: thus, the «just» GT is able to drive 434.5 km without recharging, and the Performance Edition variant — 418.4 km.

Ford has equipped the Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition with black color 20-inch wheel disks, which are «shod» in Pirelli summer tires.

Also the special version can be distinguished by red brake calipers Brembo.

The interior is different due to the different upholstery with reflective inserts, as well as aluminum decorations on the front panel.

In the U.S. market has already started taking orders for both top versions of the «electric parkette», the first customers will receive their cars this fall.

The starting price tag of the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT is $59,900 (the equivalent of about 4.36 million rubles at the current exchange rate), and the purchase of a special series Performance Edition will cost at least $64,900 (about 4.72 million rubles).
