Range Rover Adventum Coupe 2020.

The Range Rover Adventum Coupe is the return of the iconic three-door SV Coupe.
We will not discuss who and why may need a compartment SUV. There are amateurs for everything, ready to pay almost 20 million rubles, but for now a little history. Range Rover’s plans to make a Vogue-based SV Coupe were announced two years ago, but this idea, like the electric Jaguar, was abandoned due to lack of funding.

Nevertheless, the idea caught the eye of a Dutch tuning studio, which reworked 100 units of the original model. Moreover, he does it manually. The limited edition is called the Adventum Coupe.

Specifications

Interestingly, back in 2018, the British showed their concept at the Geneva Motor Show. Remarkably, that concept assumed a shortened wheelbase, and in the presented version of the Dutch masters such a solution is not observed.

Plus, after reading the interview with the owner of the studio, it becomes clear that the technical part and the platform were not affected. Even the power was not added to the motor, as is usually accepted by «plagiarism etiquette». In this regard, it remains only to remember what the original Range Rover had.

Under the hood is a 5-liter V8 diesel with 525 hp. with a torque of 625 Nm.
The powerplant propels the 2.5-ton SUV (the Adventum Coupe won’t be any easier) in just 5.4 seconds. The maximum speed is represented by 250 km / h.

The suspension is pretty standard — according to MacPherson strut at the front and a multi-link at the rear. Four-wheel drive is uncontested. Disabling center differential and low gear included. The gearbox is exclusively an automatic machine with 8 steps.
Also, one cannot fail to mention the standard equipment of the British SUV.

The list includes:

Adaptive cruise;

Help system when starting uphill and downhill;
6 airbags plus 4 curtains;
Parktronic;
Light and rain sensors;
2-band climate;
On-board computer;
Electric power steering;
Central locking;
Heated all seats and steering wheel;

Naturally, all this is complemented by British quality and chic. It is worth making a small remark here. Since the compartment variation of the SUV will be limited, the car will adapt to each client. That is, if the buyer wants a massage of all the seats, some special acoustics or an automatic valet parking, all this will happen.

Appearance

Now back to the coupe. Judging by the photos presented, the front, stern and even the roof slope remained the same.
The only change is the grille pattern, which features a cluster of vertical chrome stripes in the AMG style of Mercedes. Although, again, if the client wishes, both the grille and the rims will be changed.

As for the changes in the side part, with the same wheelbase, the doors became noticeably longer, although they were not frameless.
Most likely, this option will not be allowed in principle. Indeed, as some experts have already said, such interference in the architecture of the body will necessarily lead to a deterioration in strength and power characteristics. The conclusion of the commission and any crash tests are not yet available.

Also, one cannot fail to note an interesting solution with racks. Now after the door there is only one pillar and it turns out that the rear window becomes a kind of panoramic.

Accordingly, there are no changes in size.
It should be said that, for aesthetic reasons, it would be worth taking the Range Rover Evoque, which has a shorter wheelbase, a pitched roof and, in principle, has a more urban purpose, where the coupe will come in handy.

Salon

A press release revealed that the overall architecture of the cabin will be similar to the original. That is, only 4 seats, because the central tunnel also cuts through the rear sofa, which is why it is represented by separate premium chairs.

It is stated that a multimedia system with the ability to adjust some on-board functions will be presented for rear passengers.
In particular, in the photographs, you can see monitors mounted on the backs of the front seats. But, as mentioned above, the functionality of the interior and finishing materials will be discussed with clients individually.

Competitors

The only way to find competitors for Range Rover Coupe was to search for the most expensive SUVs. And then the options presented are mass-produced, although buyers can make their own adjustments.
The price tag is almost equal: Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Bentley Bentayga W12, Lamborghini Urus and the Mercedes-AMG G63 will cost a little cheaper.

Price and start date

The Adventum Coupe has a starting price of £ 240,000. Which translates into rubles is a whopping 22 million rubles. This is almost three times more than the basic configuration of the original model.
In terms of deliveries, the first customers will receive the compartment SUVs in the fall of 2020.
