The power capacity of liftback will be determined by a 1.4 liter turbo, which achieves 150 horsepower.

About what will be the transmission of the new Lamado nothing is reported yet.

Experts do not exclude that a seven-speed «robot» may be used here.

The engine is the same — the old petrol «turbo four» 1.4 TSI rated at 150 hp.

Sedan VW Lamando still has a junior version of this motor (131 hp). The «four-door» is available only with a seven-speed DSG — most likely, this gearbox was also given to the liftback.

Official premiere of the new generation Lamando, as expected, will celebrate this year, the production will be set up at a plant of a joint venture between Volkswagen and SAIC (they also produce a «four-door»).

Export is possible (for example, the former sedan delivered to the Philippines), but the liftback is unlikely to get to America or Europe.
