Volkswagen Teramont 2022.

The Volkswagen Teramont 2022 model year is produced at the American VW plant, where the restyled version was released back in early 2020.

In the U.S. the car is sold under the name Atlas, and in Russia it arrives under the more sonorous name Teramont, which competes quite successfully with its «classmate» in the form of the Toyota Highlander.

The end of September was marked by the long-awaited arrival of the model to the Russian market, and dealers were waiting for this car, which sold out the remains of the former versions of the SUV more than a year ago.

Details of the update have long been disclosed, but in the Russian range of options, as it turned out, there were changes.

Modifications and options

The number of equipment packages for the VW Teramont 2022 remains equal to four, but instead of the Origin version, the range includes the top version R-Line.

It’s noteworthy that the price gap between the equipment levels is 100-200k, so the difference between the price of the most expensive and cheapest versions is less than 700k:

Respect (3,846 thousand rubles) In the initial configuration SUV can offer an audio system with six speakers, media navigation complex, wireless charging, keyless access, adaptive «cruise», three-zone «climate», blind spot monitoring, heated front seats and windshield.

There are also 18-inch disks of original design, Led headlights, faux leather trim, electric side mirrors, rearview camera, and parktronic. The base version has analog dashboard.

Status (4,087 K RUR) The next level of equipment features roof rails, bumper moldings, atmospheric interior illumination plus genuine leather, electric seat adjustments, heated rear passenger seats, light sensors and digital dashboard.

Exclusive (4247 thousand rubles) The package additionally includes electric folding side mirrors, parking assistant, car lane-keeping system, all-around vision cameras and 20″ wheels.

R-Line (4343-4542 thousand rubles) «Sports» version got 21-inch wheels, another multi steering wheel, covered with Nappa leather and having heating. There are also available options — panoramic roof, webasta and captain’s chairs instead of a sofa on the back row.

All restyling upgrades:

The restyled 2022 model year Volkswagen Teramont has gotten bigger: the body length has increased by 75 mm, a credit to the new bumpers.

Slightly increased the wheel arches, the front headlights decreased in size, and the rear — changed the «stuffing».

Also on the rear overhang a reflective stripe is stretched to its full width, which visually increased the stern.

Even more changes are offered by the «pseudo-sport» R-Line version, which increases the false pipes on the rear bumper and adds to the body decoration.

There are much less changes inside, therefore ascetic and laconic interior remains the true companions of Teramont: the classical front console includes a modest 8-inch display, climate control unit with three regulators and a deep niche with the «dashboard».

The latter has updated its graphics, and there is a new multicool in front of the digital panel.

These are all the changes inside the cabin, except for a few new colors of leather upholstery and unobtrusive two-tone trim in the R-Line, complemented by steel plates on the pedals and decorative inserts on the upholstery.

Technical interior

The base engine of the VW Teramont 2022 SUV is a four-cylinder 2.9-liter TSI with 220 horsepower.

For those who will choose a complete set R-Line, a more powerful 249-horsepower unit will be available — a six-cylinder 3.6-liter capacity.

Both power units are equipped with an 8-speed automatic and a permanent all-wheel drive system.
