Volvo XC60 2022: small crossover restyling.
Volvo has unveiled the updated crossover Volvo XC60 2022 model year.
The car received very few improvements compared to its predecessor, having acquired a media center with Google services, fresh trim options and an improved set of electronic assistants.
The production of restyled cars will start at the end of May, and they will go on sale in the European market this summer.
The timing of the appearance and specification of the new Volvo XC60 2022 in Russia will be clarified later.
More about the changes
Outside, the new «sixty» can be recognized by the redesigned front end of the body.
Here, the radiator grille and side inserts on the bumper have acquired a different decor, and the fog lamp sections have moved to the main headlights (previously they were located separately).
At the stern, there is, in fact, only one innovation — the hidden pipes of the exhaust system.
Also, the manufacturer announced the expansion of the body color palette and the range of wheel disks, however, specific names are not given.
The interior of the new Volvo XC60 meets with an updated multimedia system.
It runs Android and provides access to popular Google services. The head unit software is updated remotely.
In addition to the more advanced media center, the crossover has got hold of an improved platform for the integration of ADAS security systems.
The complex of radars, cameras and ultrasonic sensors provides stable and reliable operation of many electronic assistants, including the Pilot Assist.
Another restyling brought Volvo XC60 new interior upholstery schemes, involving the use of «environmentally friendly» textiles.
The shape of the automatic transmission control lever on the central tunnel has also been revised.
2022 Volvo XC60 vehicles
In Europe, the line of power plants for the crossover has remained the same.
«Soft» hybrids are presented by versions B4 (gasoline engine or diesel — both with 197 hp), B5 (petrol unit with 250 hp or diesel with 235 hp), B6 - only gasoline supercharged engine with recoil 300 forces.
All of these engines are 2.0-liter «fours», combined with an 8-speed «automatic».
There are three rechargeable hybrid modifications. On the «younger» version of the Volvo XC60 T6 Recharge, a combination of a 2.0-liter turbo unit and an electric motor generates 340 hp, on the XC60 T8 Recharge — 390 hp.
Well, the most productive version is the Volvo T8 Recharge Polestar, which produces 405 forces. This traction allows you to accelerate to 100 km / h in 5.4 seconds.
In Russia, the Volvo XC60 is now offered in versions 2.0 D4 (190 hp), 2.0 D5 (235 hp), 2.0 T5 (249 hp) and 2.0 T8 Plug-in hybrid (320 + 87 hp). What changes will be in this range will become known later.
