The Pagani Huayra celebrates its anniversary with an 827 hp special version with a six-barrel stern.

This year, the Pagani Huayra supercar turns ten years since its official debut — a retirement age by the standards of the modern car industry, but the model is not going to retire yet and continues to evolve.

As part of the Monterey Car Week in California, a new high-end road version of the Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta is presented with a number of interesting features.

With the Huayra, the Italian company Pagani Automobili has reached unprecedented heights in the art of car design genre: every detail inside and outside the car is made like a sculpture that you can admire endlessly.

None of the competing brands, technologically tied to the major automakers, can still offer the same high level of attention to finish, although progress in terms of engines and dynamics in ten years has certainly been great.

Today, the characteristics of Pagani supercars no longer amaze the imagination, the market is full of competitors with power plants with a capacity of 1000 hp. and space characteristics, but Pagani still has enough of its fans and clients.

There was one major technical update in the history of the Huayra in 2016: then the supercar received the BC prefix to the name, boosted from 730 to 750 hp. 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine from Mercedes-AMG, faster and lighter 7-speed Xtrac robotic gearbox, retuned suspension and lightweight body.

Since then, Pagani has released several more special editions of the Huayra BC, and the Pacchetto Tempesta presented this week is not only another special edition for the anniversary, but also a further technical evolution of the model.

Pacchetto Tempesta received an even more powerful engine: power increased from 750 to 827 hp, torque — from 1000 to 1100 Nm.

In fact, Pacchetto Tempesta was equipped with an engine from the track version of the Imola model of 2020, which was not previously offered on road cars.

The body has got a new front splitter and additional air intakes, a new wing aft with a central longitudinal keel and two additional exhaust pipes in the diffuser in addition to the signature four-barrel between the taillights — now the Huayra has as many as six exhaust pipes and an even more ferocious sound at full throttle.

In addition, the suspension has been reconfigured once again, it now has a comfortable Soft Driving operating mode.

The dynamic characteristics of the Pacchetto Tempesta have not yet been announced.

As for the track line, back in March, Pagani introduced the Huayra R, which surpasses the aforementioned Imola in every way.

The Huayra R got a new, this time a high-revving naturally aspirated 850 hp V12 capable of up to 9,000 rpm, mated to a racing, even faster-firing sequential 6-speed gearbox.

Pagani does not say anything about its plans for the future, that is, it is not yet clear what it is going to do in the impending era of full electrification, in which it will not be possible to sell new cars with internal combustion engines in civilized countries.

It is also unclear how long the Huayra will last in the ranks. We believe that we will see at least an open version of Pacchetto Tempesta.

And, of course, without the Final Edition or something like that, in the end, it will not do.
