E-Legend EL1: the Audi Quattro S1 retro coupe is presented.
At the Munich Motor Show, the German company E-Legend presented the EL1, a retro-styled electric car.
In developing the coupe, designers and engineers were inspired by the legendary Audi Quattro S1 rally model, it participated in competitions in the 1980s and was considered a real monster in rally racing.
The modern interpretation of the EL1 has three electric motors, which together deliver 816 hp/600 kW.
At a modest weight for an electric car of 1,680 kg, the first ‘hundred’ coupe covers just 2.8 seconds, and a sprint from a place to 200 km / h is achieved in 8.5 seconds.
The top speed is 300 km/h. Also on the official website of the company indicates that the potential owner of E-Legend EL1 can drive two laps of the Nürburgring North Loop without recharging, and in a very «hot» mode.
The model is positioned as a car for every day, while the owner can easily test it on the race track.
The EL1 will be equipped with all modern options: climate control, a rearview camera and a multimedia station.
Also, the EL1 has sports suspension settings, a rear antifender, and different sized wheels (19-inch at the front and 20-inch at the rear).
When creating the electric sports car, the main goal of the developers was to make it as emotional as possible.
They want the driver in today’s world to be able to feel the very, «real» emotions of driving.

The German firm E-Legend, based in Bavaria’s Baylngries, has introduced an electric sports car called the EL1.
The developers call the novelty a modern version of the famous classic rally-car Audi Sport Quattro S1. Auto Motor Und Sport writes about it.
E-Legend EL1 is equipped with three electric motors, a total of 816 horsepower.
The engines are powered by an 800-volt battery with a capacity of 90 kWh with the possibility of rapid recharging, which is used in the Porsche Taycan electric car.
The car also has a traction vector control function and a liquid battery cooling system.
The developers claim the EL1 is capable of accelerating from a standing start to the first «hundred» in 2.8 seconds and takes less than 10 seconds to accelerate to 200 km/h.
The maximum range on a single charge was about 400 kilometers.
As for the exterior, the similarity of E-Legend EL1 with the classic rally-car Audi Sport Quattro S1 is shown by the angular body made of carbon fiber with similar proportions, narrow LED headlights, three vents in the front and light-alloy wheels with five spokes.
E-Legend EL1 will start sales in 2022. The edition will be as limited as possible: 30 copies.
The price has already been announced: 890,000 euros (77,385,500 rubles at current exchange rates).
