The new model is positioned as a large-sized crossover. It is reported it will be the biggest car of the German brand and its dimensions will even exceed the size of the Audi Q8.
The power unit is represented by a six-cylinder engine that is successfully used in the Volkswagen Teramont.
It is also announced that the new Q6 will be available for pre-order on June 6 this year and «live» sales will begin in the second half of this year.
The entry-level model will be equipped with a 2.0T engine, and the starting price is expected to be around 78,000 euros (about 5,200,000 rubles).
The front of the new Q6 features Audi’s iconic octagonal air intake grille.
At the same time, the car is the first model equipped with through-headlights, and the stern part of the parkette is improved with quattro antifender and projection brake lights. These elements will appear on the model for the first time.
The interior of the new car is designed in a modern style with three screens and is equipped with premium Wagner leather seats.
Manufacturer provides layout of 6 or 7 seats, and the rear seats are equipped with heating and functions of ventilation and massage.
Dimensions of the new Audi Q6 is 5099x2014x1784 mm with wheelbase of 2980 mm, which is more than the Audi Q8 and Volkswagen Teramont.
As for the technical component, the new car is equipped with the same 2.5 t six-cylinder engine as the Volkswagen Teramont.
The unit will have the original German assembly and will show a maximum output of 220 kW (290 hp).
The transmission will be combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The electric Porsche Macan will share its technologies with the Audi Q6 e-tron. According to the plans, Audi Q6 e-tron will debut in 2022.
The head of Audi Markus Dussmann has confirmed that the new Q6 e-tron model will appear on the market in 2022.
It will be built on the PPE platform, and its main components and units will be shared with the electric Porsche Macan EV.
The electric Audi Q6 e-tron crossover will become one of the first models in the brand’s range which will be built on Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, joint development of Audi and Porsche.
The new crossover will take a vacant niche in Audi’s lineup between the Q4 e-tron and e-tron and will be comparable in size to the Q5.
It is expected that Q6 e-tron will be offered with unit of about 470 horsepower, and in the future there could be 636-horsepower RS-version.
