Ken Block has unveiled his new everyday car: the snow-white Audi RS e-tron GT 2022.
Racer and showman Ken Block has unveiled his new road car, the spectacular Audi RS e-tron GT.
He received this electric car thanks to his cooperation with the German brand.
The car captured on the photo was lined with matte white vinyl, which contrasts with a number of glossy black components.
The Audi RS e-tron GT for Ken Block received a set of snow-white wheels from Rotiform.
Interestingly, the front rollers here have an aerodynamic rally design, while the rear received a more traditional six-spoke design.
There is a roof rack, where you can carry snowboards and other winter equipment (Ken Block lives in the snowy mountains of Utah).
But the technical «stuffing» of the car remained standard. This means that the snow-white car has a pair of electric motors with a total capacity of 600 hp. (830 Nm), though at activation of Overboost mode their return can achieve 650 powers for a short time.
All-wheel drive four-doors can accelerate from 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.1 seconds.
Interestingly, back in December 2021, the showman received a special Audi S1 e-tron Quattro Hoonitron: this racing car is designed for the new drift series «Elektrikhana».
It is reported that the design of this modification was inspired by the rally Audi Sport Quattro S1, which took part in the race to climb Pikes Peak.
Technical specifications of the car were not announced, but supposedly its stuffing produces about 700 horsepower.
The Audi e-tron GT 2022 is built on the J1 platform, which is familiar from the Porsche Taycan electric sports car.
The overall length of the model is 4,989 mm, the size of the wheelbase — 2,900, width — 1,964, height — 1,414.
The volume of the trunk is 405 liters, and on cars with an advanced Bang & Olufsen audio system — 366 liters. As for the front trunk, it is only 85 liters.
Germans have prepared two all-wheel drive modifications at once for a novelty. The base model has 238 hp front engine and 435 hp rear one, and there is also a two-stage gearbox (like on Taikan) at the back.
The performance of the units is artificially limited electronically to 476 hp. (630 Nm), although they are capable of producing 530 hp and 640 Nm of torque for a short period of time (2.5 seconds) when «Launch control» mode is activated.
It is reported that this car needs 4.1 seconds to accelerate from zero to a hundred, the maximum speed is declared at the level of 245 km/h.
The top-of-the-range Audi RS e-tron GT has the same front electric motor and the rear one is a bit more powerful — 456 hp.
By default, their total output is 598 horsepower (830 Nm), and when you activate «Launch control» — 646 «horses» with the same torque.
