AUDI SQ5 TDI 2021.

Audi SQ5 TDI (Sportback TDI) 2021 — charged versions of the coupe crossover Q5 model.
Compact urban crossover, which first came off the assembly line in the fall of 2008. Already in the first generation, the car had 4 × 4 Quattro all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic.

This model existed for exactly ten years. In 2017, it was replaced by the updated Q5 (FY) or second generation. The car received a new all-wheel drive system with automatic engagement / disengagement of the rear axle.

The top version was named Audi SQ5. This model has repeatedly held a leading position in reliability among used cars in Germany. This year the German carmaker Audi presented an updated «charged» version of the Q5.

Appearance

The restyled version debuted this summer. At first glance, it may seem that the appearance has not changed much, but if you put the previous version next to it, then the difference is obvious. The novelty has acquired more elegant and flowing lines.

The front part received a new form of fog lights. The radiator grille is made in the form of honeycombs. The head optics have practically not changed their shape, but the filling has acquired OLED LEDs. The back has remained unchanged.

But the design of these machines will definitely not go unnoticed. In the fall, the company introduced two modifications: the Audi SQ5 Sportback TDI and the Audi SQ5 TDI 2021.

Outwardly, they resemble kupeshki because of the sloping roof. The headroom for the rear passengers has been reduced by 16 mm.

The front part of the top-end versions is distinguished by a honeycomb-shaped radiator grill, large side air intakes, and the bumper has a lining made for aluminum.

The head optics are installed in the base as standard. For additional money, you can get matrix headlights.

The rear bumper also has aluminum trims. Below it are two twin tailpipes. LED lights are not much different in design from the simple Q5. The car received 20 — inch «rollers» behind which are hidden six — piston calipers. The more expensive version will be fitted with 21 «ones.

The dimensions have not changed much. The width and height remained the same, but the length increased slightly. True, the designers had to sacrifice the volume of the luggage compartment. It has become smaller by 40 liters.

Salon and equipment

The chairs are available in several finishes: Dinamica leather, or suede / leather (combined) and Nappa leather. All this is stitched with contrasting red stitching.

In addition, the chairs are distinguished by the S logo, electronic adjustment in various ranges, ventilation and massage.

The steering wheel with red stitching has a flat bottom. The standard equipment received decorative inserts for aluminum. For a fee, you can purchase a car with carbon fiber or black piano trim.

The center console is dominated by the multimedia screen, which has grown from 8.3 inches to 10.1 inches. In addition to size changes, the new media is now controlled by voice commands.

Specifications

All versions, except for the basic one, are equipped with the Quattro Ultra all-wheel drive system. By default, the torque is distributed 40 * 60.

The crossover’s suspension is pneumatic with sport modes and Allroad tuning. When driving at high speeds, the smart suspension lowers the car to the ground, making it more stable.

In addition, the Sportback is equipped with an option to lower the rear of the vehicle to facilitate loading. Acceleration to «sotochka» takes 5.1 seconds.

The maximum can be squeezed out 250 km / h. You cannot exceed this speed. Electronics intervenes, or rather a limiter. This car consumes about 7 liters per 100 km.

The new items did not receive any special changes in the line of units. True 2 — liter diesel engine with 204 «horses», now has a hybrid superstructure MHEV. Thanks to which the car has become more economical by 0.3 liters.

There is also a petrol version with a 2-liter engine producing 245 hp. Well, the top version is equipped with a 3-liter TDI V6 engine. Such a «beast» produces power up to 286 hp. Plug-in hybrids remain in service.

The whole thing works with the previous ones: mechanics (6 — speed), robot (7 stages) and 8 — speed automatic transmission.

Competitors

In this class, the main competitors will be other German cars Mercedes GLC Coupe and BMW X4. The machines are in approximately the same price range and technical equipment. Time will tell whether the new Q5 will compete with them.

Release date and prices

In foreign markets, it will be possible to become the proud owner of a German car in the first half of 2021.
New items will arrive in Russia a little later. The Audi SQ5 will cost about 4.6 million rubles in terms of rubles. Sportback TDI from 6.3 million.
