It looked «rough» and not finished. In turn, the Baidu Apollo RT6 2022 presented today does not differ from conventional cars, at least from the outside.

It announced the preparation of a new model Apollo RT6. This autopiloted vehicle is half the price of its predecessor, which appeared last year.

Apollo RT6 with autopilot control system was presented at the Baidu World 2022 conference.

The model decided to sell for 250 thousand yuan, or 2 million 40 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate.

Apollo RT6 is designed on a development platform Xinghe, on which the company worked hard specialists Baidu.

The length of the model came out in 4760 mm, width was 1870 mm, height is equal to 1659 mm with a wheelbase of 2830 mm.

According to dimensions it is similar to passenger cars B-class. At the same time, the novelty is able to offer a number of characteristics of premium C-class models.

The drone is going to be sold in versions with and without a steering wheel.

The model is equipped with 38 different kinds of sensors, in particular, six millimeter-range radars, eight lidars, 12 ultrasonic radars and 12 cameras.

The Apollo RT6 autopilot system has the fourth level of autonomy (L4), which corresponds to the experience of drivers with 20 years of experience.

The novelty can navigate even in difficult situations on city roads.

Mass assembly of Apollo RT6 will start in the near future. In the second half of 2023, developers will start testing new drones on their architecture called Robotaxi.

Looking at this electric car, it is difficult to believe that it is equipped with advanced technology. However, the design of this car cannot be called mediocre.

Throughout the body you can see flowing lines, which gives the model an elegant look. At the front, there are two-part headlights, between which there are narrow LED daytime running lights strips.

The profile draws attention with hidden door handles and monolithic disks. At the stern of the electric car there are narrow divided lights and a «stern» bumper.

Looking into the interior of the Baidu Apollo RT6, it is clear that this is not an ordinary car.

Inside there is a lot of free space for the passengers to stay there comfortably.

On the «torpedo» it seems that there is nothing, but in fact on the left extreme side can extend the steering wheel, which is integrated for those who are not used to the fact that the car is completely controlled by «smart» electronics.
