So far, we haven’t heard any information about the successor to the two-door Alpina B4, but it looks like the German automaker is finally working on a modified variant of the BMW 4 Series.

Of course, nothing official has been announced at the moment, all available information is based on rumors.

Western edition BimmerPost claims that Alpina will unveil the new B4 early next year, and it looks like it’s a bit of a surprise.

According to available information, the model will be based on the 4 Series of the G26 generation, which is a four-door Gran Coupe model. This will be a more luxurious version of the 3 Series.

The exact date of the debut has not yet been announced, although a post on BimmerPost claims the model will be based on the 440ix specification.

In factory form, this rendition uses a 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged mild hybrid technology that develops 382 horsepower and 499 Nm of torque.

This engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and sending power to all four wheels, propels the four-door coupe from standstill to 100 km / h in just 4.4 seconds.

In October 2019, Alpina introduced the B3, which was a more powerful version of the regular three-wheel drive.

This car was also equipped with a 3.0-liter engine producing 462 hp. (700 Nm). We expect similar performance for the new B4 Gran Coupe when it hits the European market at some point next year.

As the published description suggests, the 4-Series Gran Coupe is 150mm longer than its predecessor, 25mm wider and 53mm taller.

The wheelbase of the novelty has grown by 46 mm, the front track by 38 mm, and the rear track by 18 mm, which made the car more stable.

The BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe now comes standard with adaptive headlights with LED lights, 18-inch rims (19-inch offered at a surcharge) and frameless door glazing.

A subtle spoiler appeared on the rear of the Bavarian model. Also, the manufacturer offered with the novelty several options for rims, differing in both color and design.

The 4-Series Gran Coupe comes standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with a maximum output of 255 hp. with a torque of 400 N * m.

With this unit, the Bavarian model gains 100 km / h in 5.8 seconds. For a surcharge, the novelty is equipped with a 3-liter turbocharged engine, which is combined with a 48-volt hybrid unit.

The total output in this case reaches 382 hp. with a thrust of 499 N * m. BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe in this version gains 100 km / h in 4.4 seconds.

Both powertrains are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

In the top M-version, the Bavarian model gets a proprietary all-wheel drive with a differential, adaptive suspension and reinforced brakes.

The interior of the novelty includes leather seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 10.1-inch touchscreen monitor and other standard solutions for the past 4-Series Gran Coupe.

Also, the car has retained the same set of driver’s assistants.

The Bavarian novelty was offered at a price of 44.8 thousand dollars (3.23 million rubles). For the M version, they ask for a minimum of 58 thousand dollars (4.19 million rubles).
