The electric BMW i3 eDrive35L 2023 has been introduced in China.
German company BMW has unveiled in China the new extended electric sedan BMW i3 eDrive35L 2023 model year.
Premiere of BMW i3 electric sedan, which is the first model in the restyled 3-Series range, has taken place in China.
The novelty has nothing in common with a hatchback «ai-three» which serial production will be curtailed in July of the 22nd.
This four-door is based on Chinese long-wheelbase version of BMW 3-Series.
It has a deaf «nostril» grille and the original bumpers.
The car immediately draws attention with its new headlights (without crossbars at the bottom).
Other models of the updated family are likely to receive the same headlights.
Chinese BMW i3 2022 sedan also showed the upcoming updates for the interior of the «three».
In particular, the car has got the front panel from BMW i4 liftback. There are two large screens at once.
They are placed under a glass and look as one whole. The left one has a diagonal of 12.3 inches and is used as an instrument panel, and the right touchscreen display here is 14.9″.
The latter is given for the needs of the multimedia system. The four-door does not have a separate remote control for climate control, so you can control all the functions with the touchscreen.
The new BMW i3 Sedan eDrive35L 2023 electric sedan was premiered in China in early April 2022.
The novelty will be available only on the Chinese market. The new model has nothing to do with the BMW i3 compact hatchback produced since 2013.
Review
The new sedan is an all-electric version of the BMW 3 Series.
The novelty has an overall length of 4872 mm and a wheelbase of 2936 mm (+115 mm relative to the standard 3-Series sedan). The trunk space is 410 liters.
Specifications
The sedan is powered by an electric motor with an output of 281 hp. (400 Nm of torque).
Battery capacity is 66.1 kWh. From 0 to 100 km/h the car accelerates in 6.2 seconds.
Cruising range
The BMW i3 eDrive35L 2023 has a cruising range of 526 kilometers. This is quite an impressive result against the background of Chinese competitors.
The car supports «fast charging» of the battery in 35 minutes.
In China, sales of the new BMW i3 eDrive35L2023 will start in May 2022. Prices have not yet been announced.
