BMW i7 xDrive60 2023.

The all-electric BMW i7 sedan debuted in the xDrive60 version.

Simultaneously with presentation of the new BMW 7-Series G70 sedan the Germans also presented a fully electric variant of the «seven» called BMW i7.

Both versions have identical body and differ only in decoration outside.

Just like the original, the electric BMW i7 has a new style front end with narrow strips of running lights and main headlight units underneath, which are hidden behind tinted glass and look like air ducts.

There are also the traditional huge «nostrils», a completely new hood, wheel rims of the original design, recessed into the body door handles and wide chrome trim on the rear pillar.

Due to the flat underside, the model’s aerodynamic drag coefficient is 0.24.

Inside, the BMW i7 2023 flaunts a minimalist dashboard with an almost complete absence of physical buttons and hidden ventilation ducts.

There are two large 12.3 (left) and 14.9 (right) inch screens in front of the driver.

For the rear passengers, there are optional split seats instead of a sofa and a huge flip-down wide-screen monitor «BMW Theatre Screen» on the ceiling with 31″ and 8K resolution.

There is also an «Executive Lounge» package with the ability to turn the right rear seat into a lounge chair.

The power of the front one is 258 hp, while the rear one produces 313 hp.

Total output of the unit reaches 544 «horses» and 745 Nm of torque.

The car weighing 2 640 kg can accelerate from a place up to a hundred in 4.7 seconds, the maximum speed is limited at 240 km/h.

The movement of an electric car is accompanied by music (to warn pedestrians of the approaching car), which worked German composer Hans Zimmer.

The electrical system in the BMW i7 works with a voltage of 376 volts, the capacity of the traction battery located under the floor is 101.7 kWh.

Mileage with a fully charged battery on the WLTP cycle is claimed at 590 kilometers.

The sedan already has adaptive cruise control in the base, and in the future could get a third level of autopilot («iron» is already on board, and «software» is not ready yet and will be offered for a fee in the form of updates).

Also ai 7 can be retrofitted with the function of remote auto parker.

Issue of the model will be set up at the plant of the company in Dingolfing, sales are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022, the price tag for the version i7 xDrive60 will start from 119 300 dollars.

Later more powerful variant i7 M70 xDrive with 660 «horses» is expected.
