BMW Z4 2023.

In 2023, the BMW Z4 roadster may receive a manual transmission: the related Toyota Supra already has such a configuration.

As it became known earlier, Toyota has returned the new Supra manual transmission.

Now it works with a six-cylinder inline motor.
Analogue from BMW — Z4 M40i 2023, according to rumors, will also receive such configuration.

Now the German brand is considering installing a six-speed manual in the roadster.

At the moment, the Z4 sDrive30i is sold in some markets with a manual transmission.

However, it is not available in the U.S. unlike the Supra, which has such a combination in the U.S. market.

We can assume that BMW will add a six-speed manual transmission in order to update the lineup a bit by the end of this year.

As early as next year, the Z4 roadster will get a slight facelift.

It’s possible that the Z4 with manual transmission will be sold only in the U.S., because there’s no information about other countries.

It is known that the Toyota Supra and the BMW Z4 have a lot in common in terms of mechanics.

Both models are built on a platform from the German brand. They also have similar powertrains and transmission options.

However, in terms of style, the cars have a lot of differences, because the designers of the automakers tried to distinguish the models from each other as much as possible.

We can say that a manual transmission would be a great novelty for the Z4, given the fact that the production of this coupe can be stopped in 2025.

This is likely because now almost all companies emphasize their attention on electric cars, and models with internal combustion engine gradually go out of fashion.

It is also possible to assume that the German automaker will develop a replacement for the coupe, but it is too early to assume anything yet.

The roadster is powered by a 387-horsepower (500 Nm) inline 3.0-liter engine for the U.S. market, paired to an eight-speed automatic.

The car reaches 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.

The equipment list also includes an almost completely redesigned suspension with electronically controlled dampers and an electronically controlled M Sport differential.
