Brabus 900 Rocket AMG G63 2022. The Mercedes-AMG G63 has received the monstrous performance of the Brabus 900 Rocket.

Brabus is not the first time to modify the Mercedes-AMG G63, but this time the German tuners have outdone themselves by introducing a limited edition called the «Brabus 900 Rocket».

Outside, this version of Gelendvagen boasts the latest version of the Brabus Widestar branded body kit.

The latter includes other bumpers, a hood with an air intake and extended wheel arches. These components were also used on previous versions of the body kit — 700 Widestar and 800 Widestar, released in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

At the same time, the new version of the body kit looks noticeably angrier, since it additionally includes a front spoiler, a carbon radiator grill with a luminous atelier logo, exhaust pipes on the sides, as well as a catchy roof spoiler that generates additional downforce.

Note that the demo Brabus 900 Rocket has a dark gray body in «Stealth Gray» with a range of red accents «in a circle», but the company noted that the SUV can be painted in any other shade.

The modification also attracts attention with the exclusive 24-inch Brabus Monoblock Z Platinum Edition wheels, which are “shod” in 295/30 and 355/25 tires at the front and rear, respectively.

The interior of the modification features striking carbon fiber décor on the dashboard and center console, as well as ubiquitous red accents.

On the doorstep of the car, you can see the luminous Brabus logo lining.

The car has four separate seats. They are heated and ventilated and are upholstered in black leather with diamond stitching.

For rear passengers, folding tables are offered, as well as cup holders with heating and cooling functions. There is also a mini-refrigerator here, while you can control various settings from a 4.3-inch touchscreen.

Brabus engineers have increased the volume of the 4.0-liter Mercedes-AMG V8 engine to 4.5 liters.

The engine has been heavily modified to include larger downpipes, Ram-Air intake, variable valve stainless steel exhaust, and larger turbos.

Plus, on the Brabus 900 Rocket, the software settings were revised, as a result of which the engine’s performance was increased to 900 hp. at 6,200 rpm and 1,250 Nm available at 2,900 rpm.

However, the torque of the modified version of the SUV is artificially limited to 1,050 Nm. Traction to the wheels is transmitted through the 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission.

Like other Helics, the modification has a permanent four-wheel drive with electronic differential locks.

From a place to a hundred, such an SUV is capable of “shooting” in 3.7 seconds (- 0.8). You can accelerate the car up to 280 km / h, after which the «electronic collar» will work. For a 2,560-kilogram car with brick aerodynamics, these are more than impressive figures.

The modified Gelendvagen also received a Brabus RideControl coilover suspension with electrically adjustable shock absorbers.

Compared to the usual G 63, the clearance of such a car is underestimated by 45 millimeters.

To stop the rocket racing at full steam, 400 mm ventilated discs are used in front, and 370 mm in the back.

As for the calipers, they are fixed on the front wheels and with a floating bracket on the rear.

In total, only 25 of these machines will be built in Brabus at a price of 480,059 euros (41.3 million rubles at the current exchange rate).

The first 10 cars will be shipped to customers by the end of 2021, and the rest should be expected during the twenty-second.
