The automaker Bugatti has brought its future Centodieci hypercar to the test for the first time. He was spotted on the Nürburgring race track.

This model was presented back in the summer of 2019. It pays homage to the iconic EB110 and celebrates the company’s 100th anniversary.

The spy footage showed nothing new compared to what was previously demonstrated.

This Bugatti has all the hallmarks of the brand’s new design language, although the influence of the EB110 on it is quite noticeable.

The horseshoe-shaped radiator grille at the front has been slightly reduced. The rear has nothing to do with the EB110 and features unique lights and folded tailpipes.

The 8.0-liter W16 engine, visible under the glass, delivers an impressive 1,600 horsepower.

Bugatti says the hypercar can accelerate to 100 km / h in 2.3 seconds and 200 km / h in 6.1 seconds. 300 km / h is reached in 13.1 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 380 km / h.

Reducing its weight allowed the car to provide such indicators. It was reduced by 20 kilograms using a lightweight wiper and special side mirrors.

It will no longer be possible to buy a car. Bugatti will only build 10 of the Centodieci, and each has already been sold.

It has a starting price of 8 million euros, and this price does not include VAT, although this probably does not matter to its buyers.

The Bugatti brand has announced that it has begun assembling a pre-production concept based on the Centodieci prototype, unveiled the year before last.

All 10 planned copies of the hypercar sold out in just a couple of hours after the debut, but deliveries are scheduled for 2022.

It is noted that the specialists working on Centodieci were forced to solve a large number of problems even in the process of developing the concept. It took a year and a half for design and modeling.

The company is just about to switch to subject tests. Very soon, the prepared version of the body will be blown in a wind tunnel, and the pre-production chassis will be sent for dynamic tests.

The Bugatti Centodieci has become a kind of tribute and an attempt at a modern interpretation of the appearance of the famous Bugatti EB 110.

The brand’s heritage should be referred to, for example, new optics, a compact radiator grille, side air intakes with five holes, and generally more angular than the donor model Chiron, design style.

In turn, the modifications also affected the engine, as a result of which the performance of the power unit increased to 1600 hp.

According to assumptions, the serial Centodieci will be able to accelerate to the first «hundred» in 2.4 seconds and accelerate to a maximum of 380 km / h.
