Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 2022-2023.

It has a very unique style and complex coloring of the hull. A light blue hue covers the entire body and gets darker on the rear fenders.

A hand-painted orange trail also runs through the entire body, roof and panels.

The rims are in the same color. The Chiron Super Sport differs from the base model in its dimensions.

The rear end is 250 mm longer, and the aft diffuser is also enlarged.

There are four exhaust pipes at the back. The interior of the car is made in the color of the body, that is, it is orange.

As for power, this model has a 8.0-liter engine with 16 cylinders. They are made in the shape of a W.

Such a motor provides 1600 horsepower and 1600 N*m of torque.

A seven-speed automatic transmission is also an integral part of this Bugatti.

All these features enable it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2,4 seconds and reach a top speed of 440 km/h. Figures are really impressive.

All these changes make this model desirable for any buyer.

But not everyone can afford it. The price of the car is 3.2 million euros (a little over 295 million rubles), not including taxes.

Most likely, there will be only 30 such models for the whole world.

Bugatti has shown two unique Chiron. The hypercars use the Vagues de Lumière, or «waves of light» design theme.

Bugatti has revealed two unique Chiron hypercars built as part of its Sur Mesure personalization program.

Both cars use a common design theme called Vagues de Lumière (French for waves of light).

This is a special paintwork that creates the illusion of light reflection on the body panels.

The process of creating these paint schemes takes about five weeks, and the cars are painted by hand, in several layers, using two-dimensional templates made beforehand.

Bugatti’s designers are inspired not only by the brand’s past, but also by the seemingly ordinary things.

For example, they are attracted by the play of light and shadow on the curves of the car body, no matter if the hypercar is standing under the bright lights on the Molesheim quality control line or under the rays of the setting sun somewhere at the seashore.

Using these examples as a reference, the Sur Mesure personalization department has come up with a special painting technique called Vagues de Lumière.

Not only does it create the illusion of reflections, but it also makes each car unique in its own way.

One of the first cars decorated in this style was the Chiron Super Sport.

The base color used here is California Blue.

Wide «strokes» are made by contrasting orange Arancia Mira.

The same color is used for magnesium wheels, inscriptions on the engine cover, the number «38» on the grille and interior.

The second hypercar with Vagues de Lumière coloring is the Chiron Pur Sport. Its body is made of blue carbon fiber under clear lacquer, which is complemented by stripes in Nocturne black.

The end plates of the antifenders bear French national flags, while the interior features blue and black leather.

By the way, Bugatti tried to reproduce natural light reflections on the Bugatti body before.

In 2011, the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport L’Or Blanc was presented, created in collaboration with the Berlin Royal Porcelain Manufactory.

Eight years later, in 2019, the Chiron Zebra piece debuted, painted in a combination of Titanic Blue and Gunpowder Grey.

And last December, the Bugatti Sur Mesure division unveiled its first completed project.

But it was inspired not by reflections of light, but by Louis Chiron’s victory at the French Grand Prix in 1931.

The design team created two new body paints for the Chiron Pur Sport, reminiscent of the colors of the Grand Prix Bugatti of the 1920s and 1930s.

Molsheim also came up with a new «fading» pattern of «EB» monograms, complemented by layered embroidery on the door panels, and decorated the ends of the center console with anodized aluminum overlays bearing the Grand Prix inscription.
