Bugatti La Voiture Noire: exclusive hypercar for € 16.7 million
At the Geneva Motor Show, a unique hypercar Bugatti La Voiture Noire was presented, built in a single copy and immediately sold for a fabulous sum. The name of the model means «black car» in French, and the creators of its appearance were inspired by the classic Type 57 SC Atlantic.

The body of the new Bugatti La Voiture Noire is completely made of carbon, while the rest of the model has been handcrafted. The design of the hypercar unmistakably guesses the features of the Chiron, although the car is even more reminiscent of the Divo presented on its basis.

There are the same ventilation slots in the hood, a similar design of the front bumper with huge side air intakes, as well as a massive diffuser at the rear. At the same time, many elements are exclusive, which distinguishes La Voiture Noire from other models of the company.

For example, there is a very special head optics, unusual curved taillights stretching across the entire width, completely crazy design wheels with a fantastic pattern, as many as six exhaust pipes, many small slots in the engine compartment cover, as well as a fin that runs along the entire body.

In addition, the car received blackened front pillars, due to which the effect is created that the windshield flows into the side ones, plus there are other rear-view mirrors, a completely redesigned sidewall shape, and «Bugatti» is displayed in large letters on the stern.

For some reason, the manufacturer did not provide photos of the exclusive model’s interior, but it hardly differs noticeably from Chiron or Divo. We can only assume that the world’s best finishing materials and some unusual color solutions are used inside.

At the same time, technically La Voiture Noire is not much different from its source code. The coupe is powered by a four-turbine 8.0-liter W16 that produces 1,500 hp. and 1,600 Nm of torque. And if the Bugatti Divo takes 2.4 seconds to accelerate from zero to a hundred, then this figure is hardly different here. And this is not the main thing — no one is going to drive such a car.

Initially it was reported that the exclusive Bugatti was built for Ferdinand Pich, the former head of Volkswagen, but this information was not confirmed at the exhibition. It is known that the car was acquired by a collector, and the price, including taxes, was € 16.7 million (about $ 18.9 million). Thus, La Voiture Noire became the most expensive new Bugatti in history.

At the same time, it became known at the exhibition that the newly-made owner of this exclusive will be able to receive his car only in 2.5 years — approximately this is how long the company will need to fine-tune the technical part and homologate the hypercar for public roads.
