Buick Envista 2023.

Another coupe-like crossover: Buick Envista exterior revealed in official photos.

Buick has released its new coupe-crossover, which has been officially named Envista 2023.

The car is based on the company’s signature platform. In addition, it is equipped with a new brand logo «tricolor shield».

The parkette will officially debut at the Chengdu Motor Show, which opens on August 26 this year.

A model of the American brand owned by GM will make its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show in late August. Whether the SUV will make it to the U.S. is not yet clear.

One of the main markets for Buick brand is China: the production of cars of local lineup is established on facilities of JV General Motors and SAIC.

Buick car sales in the Celestial Empire increased by 6.3 percent, while last year the figure fell by 10.6 percent at the end of the «covid» 2020.

The brand still has a minus this year: dealers in China sold 285,137 units in the first half of the year, down 22.4% from a year earlier.

At the beginning of the current summer, the brand presented electric concept cross-coupe Electra-X in China: it is based on Ultium platform of GM development.

At the same time, it became known that the production «green» sport utility vehicle with design based on this prototype will appear in the local range until the end of 2022.

However, before the company is going to present another coupe-like SUV, its «stuffing» suggests the traditional internal combustion engine.

A little later the name of the modular — Envista became known. Then his pictures were entered into the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry.

The crossover has received a number of elements of a new corporate style, which showed the concept Electra-X.

Thus, the Buick Envista has a large grille with horizontal thin chrome stripes is at an angle, the image is complemented by narrow daytime running lights and similarly designed taillights.

In addition, the new Envista has a new brand emblem.

Now Buick has shown exterior of its future coupe-like crossover in official pictures.

Moreover, a «sporty» version of Envista GS has showed up in the photos; it features completely black grille with mesh pattern, the same color side mirror housings, and 18-inch wheel disks of different design.

Previously the future novelty’s dimensions became known: its length is 4638 mm, width — 1816 mm, and height — 1565 mm.

Distance between axles is 2700 mm. Its closest relative will obviously be a crossover Chevrolet Seeker (Chevrolet brand is also part of GM), which was unveiled late last month.

Production of this model is currently limited to China, but we don’t rule out the possibility that the vehicle could make it to the U.S.

There is no official data on Buick Envista yet, though certification data have already been made public.

The coupe-like crossover will share «stuffing» with the Chevrolet Seeker, that is, it will have a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol four with 179 hp under the hood.

The engine will be paired with a variator without any alternatives, and the drive will be only front.

If this SUV will still leave the borders of China, it is likely it will have other equipment. The novelty will debut at the end of August at the Chengdu Motor Show.

Recall, during Buick Brand Day-2022 event, which was held in China in early June, the company presented electric concept car Wildcat (the brand had a commercial model with such name, it was produced from 1963 to 1970).

The show car is a coupe with 2+2 seating arrangement, its main task is to demonstrate the future design of the brand.
