Cadillac is preparing an update for its 2024 CT5-V Blackwing sedan.
Some of the upcoming changes can be seen in the «spy» images published by foreign media.
Despite the fact that the body of the car is partially covered with camouflage protection, a number of details can still be seen.
All changes that can be seen in the photos relate to the front of the car.
In particular, the sedan lost its horizontally oriented head optics.
The manufacturer replaced it with vertical headlights, similar to those that debuted on the recently updated XT4 crossover.
The optics units of the sedan are hidden in the upper part of the front panel. Thanks to them, the “muzzle” of the CT5-V Blackwing takes on a more aggressive performance.
The grille now looks wider than the actual car. However, the biggest changes are at the bottom of the bumper.
So, Cadillac has updated the shape of the central air intake. Previously, it was made in the form of a smile, but now it has received a more aggressive design.
In addition, triangular side air intakes peek out from under the dense camouflage.
There are no «spy» pictures of the salon on the Web yet. However, Cadillac is expected to update the interior of the CT5-V Blackwing quite heavily.
In particular, a large curved screen should appear in the cockpit, which will combine the infotainment display and digital instrument cluster.
This element will also be borrowed from the XT4. Recall that now the sedan uses separate monitors.
But there will be no changes in the technical characteristics of the sedan, according to experts.
The car will continue to be equipped with a 6.2-liter turbocharged V8 engine, the output of which reaches 668 horsepower at 893 Nm of torque.
It is supposed to be paired with a 10-speed “automatic” or a Tremec manual transmission for 6 speeds.
Probably, in this update, Cadillac focused solely on modernizing the appearance of the car.
The debut of the car should take place before the end of this year. The sedan will go on sale as a 2024 model.
