Cadillac ST4 2020.

Cadillac ST4 2020 — the younger brother of the main flagship of the brand.
The presentation of the new Cadillac CT4 took place as part of one of the main auto shows in late spring 2019. The novelty was quite expected, in the model range of the brand it took one step below the CT5 sedan, presented a month earlier in New York. As a result, thanks to CT4, a line of Cadillac sedans was fully formed.

Appearance

In the new version of the sedan from the Kaddilak ST4 2019-2020 model year, the family features of the brand are clearly traced, but now more smooth lines dominate instead of some angularity. The new model replaced the ATS, so you can trace some similarities in the glazing, rear pillars. Neat blocks of head optics are installed on the front, they seem to go onto the original radiator grille with a large brand logo.

On the side of the head optics are vertical strips of daytime running lights that go down to the air intakes. The front optics are decorated with a sweeping Cadillac inscription.

The profile received a dynamic shape, clearly calibrated proportions. The car in the basic version has 18-inch wheels with low-profile tires.

Designers of the brand did a good job on the back of the car. It used a completely non-standard architecture of the rear lights, on the luggage compartment lid a solid spoiler. At the bottom of the powerful bumper flaunts four chrome exhaust tips at once.

Interior

As expected, everything is concise, expensive and practical in the cabin. Fans of the brand will immediately notice many similarities with the interiors of other models of the ST line (5 and 6). On the front panel, everything is simple and convenient, all controls are located so that the driver is as comfortable as possible.

On the central tunnel, there is a joystick for switching automatic transmission operation modes, a controller washer, several function keys and two cup holders on the front passenger side.

A 10-inch screen of a modern infotainment system is installed in the center of the dashboard, below it is a dual-zone climate control system.
In front of the driver is a multi-function steering wheel with soft leather trim and an analog dashboard, here the manufacturer decided to pay tribute to the classics.

The front row chairs have a well-defined lateral support, they can be safely called sports, there are several modes of electric adjustments.

Specifications

The car is driven by a turbocharged 2.7-liter gasoline engine, its output is 325 hp, a couple of it is a 10-speed automatic transmission. If in the line of power units it is still possible and there will be other options, then the transmission will still remain the same.
The model is based on Alpha, i.e. MacPherson strut mounted on the front, independent multi-link on the rear. Rear-wheel drive, however, at the request of the buyer, four-wheel drive will also be available.

Equipment

In the arsenal of the novelty there are numerous electronic assistants, including a track autopilot, he is able to independently control the car while driving on the highway. Although the driver at this time does not have to constantly keep his hands on the steering wheel, you still need to monitor the road.

If the Super Cruise system detects that the driver is distracted, warning signals will appear — first the indicator light on the steering wheel will turn on, and then sound signals will appear, followed by vibration of the driver’s seat.
In total, there are three trim levels, including Sport.

The manufacturer does not say anything specific about the cost of the new Cadillac ST4, but it will be named closer to the start of sales. Most likely, at least 32 thousand dollars will have to be paid for the new product. The assembly of the sedan was established at a plant in Michigan, in the same place where the elder brother ST5 is assembled.

Among the main competitors of the new model can be identified Jaguar XE, BMW 3-series and Mercedes C-class. And although the model replaced the ATS that appeared in 2011, the sales of which did not justify itself at all, the manufacturer is confident that after numerous work on the bugs, buyers will appreciate CT4.
