Cadillac XT4 2021.

Compact crossover with exclusive engine.

Compact urban crossover by General Motors. First rolled off the assembly line in 2018. Collected in the USA and China. The car is equipped with 2-liter engines and a 9-speed automatic.

Appearance

This crossover will be hard to miss on the roads. Stylish original design and branded optics will make the car stand out from afar. The car is recognizable from different angles.

What immediately catches the eye in the front of the urban crossover is a massive trapezoidal grille with a corporate logo and an original form of head optics.

By which, even at night, you can easily identify the Cadillac. The body is made in a modern manner and has a roof slightly sloping towards the rear.

The side view is decorated with either 10-spoke 18-inch wheels or 5-finger 22-inch «rollers» made in the form of petals.

For the Russian market, the XT4 2021 is offered in three trim levels, and they all differ in appearance.

In Premium Luxury (this is the second modification), roof rails and a chrome lip under the front bumper already appear.

Side skirts are visible (this is not in the Luxury configuration), repeaters on the mirrors and door handles, painted in a dark color.

In the third Sport configuration, the radiator grille acquires a bright black color, modified head optics, and a black bumper. The side view is adorned with beautiful five-fingered discs and low-profile tires.

Red calipers are visible behind the wheels. The door handles are painted in body color, the roof rails are black and the windows are framed in the same color with moldings.

The rear part is also modified depending on the configuration, but only slightly. In the sports version, the taillights, instead of bright red, become lighter and the bumper trim changes color.

The interior is made of high quality and expensive materials: leather, carbon fiber and aluminum inserts.

The front console houses an 8-inch display of the multimedia system, in a comfortable tilt for the driver.

The panel itself is covered in leather. Top-spoke steering wheel provides a full view of the dashboard.

There is enough space for passengers in the cabin, but only 4 adults can be comfortably accommodated. The front seats are ergonomic and adjustable in different positions.

In addition, they are equipped with ventilation, heating and massage. The central tunnel is equipped with niches for small items, a gear selector, cup holders and a refrigerator built into the armrest.

The luggage compartment is 673 liters, and if the rear seats are folded down, we get all 1,385 liters.

The crossover is equipped with an emergency braking system with frontal collision warning. The rear view camera is now displayed on the mirror instead of on the display of the multimedia system.

Even the seats are responsible for safety in the Cadillac XT4. They warn of danger by means of vibration and acoustic signals.

Of the useful options, we can note the adaptive cruise control, which will keep a given distance from the vehicle in front.

Also a very useful feature is the side blind spot tracking system. When changing lanes, warn if a vehicle is approaching from the side.

The massive trunk lid is equipped with an electric drive, which is set in motion thanks to a sensor located under the bumper of the crossover. One easy movement of your foot and the luggage compartment is at your disposal.

For Russia, the crossover will be offered with a 2-liter gasoline engine (200 hp) and a diesel engine on a turbine with a capacity of 174 horses. Both units work in tandem with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Competitors

The main competitors of the Cadillac XT4 are BMW X1, Audi Q3, Lexus RX-300, Mercedes-Benz GLA. But Cadillac is still the most popular in its segment.

A year after the start of sales, the number of cars sold increased 3-4 times. This growth is seen in both the United States and China. The car is predominantly aimed at a younger audience.

Release date and prices

The Cadillac XT4 will appear in Russian car dealerships in early 2021. At the moment, there is a pre-order. You will have to pay at least 3.2 million rubles for such a car.
