Chevrolet Blazer 2023.

Unveiled the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer with a new design and better technology.

Chevrolet has officially unveiled the redesigned Blazer.

The modernization of this popular model was planned and touched the appearance of the car, as well as optional equipment.

The Chevrolet Blazer 2023 will enter the U.S. market this summer.

In terms of appearance, the novelty differs from the pre-reformed car modified grille, which retained its signature metal frame, as well as the original taillights with a new interesting pattern.

Wheel disks received 18, 20 and 21 inches in diameter. There are also new colors for the body paint.

Even in base the new Blazer will be equipped with multimedia with a 10-inch touchscreen. For extra charge the vehicle will be equipped with inductive charging, which for more expensive versions is standard option. The multimedia now has access to Wi-Fi.

The engine lineup for the U.S. will include a 228-horsepower turbocharged 2-liter and 308-horsepower «atmospheric» 3.6-liter engines. Both work with 9ACP.

The Chevrolet Blazer, which was reborn as a crossover vehicle, has not yet been able to compete on a level playing field with its main competitors.

And already in the third year, the demand went down: if in 2020, 95,000 Blazers were sold in the U.S. market, in 2021, only 70,000.

For comparison, the Ford Edge found 85,000 buyers, and the Hyundai Santa Fe — 112,000.

However, the decline is not surprising, because last summer the Blazer was deprived of the most basic configuration and basic atmospheric engine 2.5 (194 hp), after which the initial price has increased by almost 5000 dollars.

This was Chevrolet’s way of boosting the model’s image. And now it’s time for the planned restyling.

The updated Blazer with a length of 4,874 mm won’t distinguish from the pre-reformed crossover: there are no serious changes.

The radiator grille has been redesigned, the running lights are bigger, and the main headlights are updated.

Rear lights are with a new light pattern, but in the same bodies. And also the design of the wheels has been changed, which can have a seating diameter from 18 to 21 inches.

There is a new media system with a 10-inch screen instead of the old 8-inch one.

Interestingly, the Chinese extended Blazer originally had a ten-inch screen, but the bezel is different.

There is a wireless charger for smartphones. The Blazer is available in three trims — the entry-level LT, the rich Premier, and the «sporty» RS (pictured), but only the latter can now be ordered with dark blue interior trim.

There are two engines to choose from — the turbo four 2.0 (231 hp, 350 Nm) and the atmospheric V6 3.6 (311 hp, 366 Nm), which appeared in 2019.

Both are paired with a nine-speed automatic and you can choose front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (with clutch on the rear axle).

The Blazer RS stands out: the V6 engine is basic, and the optional all-wheel drive is with individual rear wheel clutches, like Cadillac crossovers.

The updated Chevrolet Blazer will be on sale this summer. Now pre-styled cars in the U.S. cost from $33,400, that is only $300 cheaper than the larger Traverse model.

And in the spring of 2023, an all-new electric Blazer EV should be available on a separate Ultium platform.
