In Russia, the Chevrolet Groove crossover has fallen sharply in price: now it costs less than 2 million rubles

Recently, new Chevrolet Groove 2023 crossovers have been offered in the Russian Federation, which were brought to our country not officially, but through parallel imports.

At the same time, initially the metropolitan dealerships set a disproportionately high price for the car — from 2.64 million rubles.

Now it turned out that the cost of the «American» was revised, and in a smaller direction.

So, now the most “affordable” equipment is estimated by the seller at 1.89 million rubles. Note that earlier the same version was offered to customers for 2.64 million.

It is available with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 110 horsepower, which works together with a CVT and front-wheel drive.

Average Chevrolet Groove configurations also fell in price, but not as significantly as the “base”.

On average, 250-400 thousand rubles. But the dealers decided not to adjust the cost of top-end versions.

Crossover in the «maximum speed» is still offered for 2.9 million rubles.

It is worth saying that the American Groove was not created from scratch. It was based on the Chinese Baojun 510, which first left the SAIC-GM-Wuling production site back in 2016.

A little later, its “Americanized” copy from Chevrolet appeared on the market. The differences between the two SUVs are minimal.

The production version of Groove received a different grille, branded nameplates, as well as a slightly redesigned interior.

At the same time, technically and in terms of equipment, the cars turned out to be identical.

Recall that the crossover is delivered to our country directly from the United Arab Emirates, so the manufacturer’s warranty does not apply to it.

The Chevrolet Groove equipment list includes climate control and a multimedia system with a “floating” touchscreen, another rather large display is built into the “tidy”.

The arsenal of the Baojun 510 also includes a panoramic roof, cruise control, a rear-view camera, front and side airbags — all this goodness probably went to the new Chevy.

Groove production has been established in China at the SAIC-GM-Wuling JV plant, the crossover will again be delivered to South America and, possibly, to the countries of the Middle East. The official presentation will take place soon.
