DeLorean has released a teaser of the DMC-12 electric receiver.

DeLorean’s press service has shown another teaser image of the EVolved electric car.

This time, we are shown a wide light bar of the novelty, which will be the receiver of the iconic DMC-12.

We’re «back to the future» again, as the revived DMC shared an image on social media about its new electric car.

Designed by Italdesign studio, the EVolved, as the novelty will be called, shows its shutters, which are similar to those of the iconic DMC-12.

The latter, in turn, was created by Giorgetto Giugiaro. In keeping with the latest trends in automotive design, the car boasts an LED strip extending over the wheel arches and covering the entire width of the rear end.

In addition to the retro-style window shutters, the EVolved will also retain its predecessor’s «gull wing» door arrangement.

We know that the circular light bar runs down where the bumper meets the rear panel.

Compared to the original DMC-12, the new DeLorean EVolved looks considerably more «opulent.»

DeLorean CEO Joost de Vries has previously stated that the company would develop many different vehicles. The electric EVolved has its world premiere scheduled for August 18.

Judging by the tags, the DeLorean reborn as an electric car has been named EVolved.

DeLorean Motor Company continues its teaser campaign for the successor to the DeLorean DMC-12 coupe that became iconic thanks to the «Back to the Future» movie franchise.

In a tweet, the company showed part of the car — and in lights, unlike earlier teasers — and named a premiere date: it’s scheduled for August 18.

The novelty, which will get an electric powertrain, will be presented at the Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach.

A new teaser shows a portion of the DeLorean’s stern and roof, which features smoother lines than a coupe from the ’80s.

Also the novelty got prominent fenders, and instead of «pixel» lights — three narrow LED strips.

At the same time, the designers borrowed the grille from the original, which on the new DeLorean is neatly built into the rear window.

Earlier teasers also showed gull-wing doors like the DMC-12, as well as a scalloped hood and a broken LED strip with a V-shaped element on the front.

The company ItalDesign, which was involved in the creation of the original coupe, is working on the design.

Teaser tweets are accompanied by the tag #DeloreanEVolved. This is probably the name of the novelty, indicating the evolution of the sports car and the electric propulsion system — EV.

There is no confirmed data about it yet, but it was previously reported that the basis could be a platform that allows the use of electric motors with a total output of up to 1,360 horsepower.
