The Dongfeng DF6 pickup, the brother of the Nissan Navara, has reached Russia.
On our market the Chinese truck is represented in the only configuration with a diesel engine and all-wheel drive.
Dongfeng has been nurturing the idea of selling a frame pickup in Russia for a long time: in particular, the model under the name Rich was demonstrated at the Moscow International Motor Show 2016.
And now the truck finally made it to our market, although it is not the vehicle that was previously shown to the Russian public, but a more recent model built on the basis of the current generation Nissan Navara.
In its homeland, this Dongfeng pickup is called Rich 6, but the Russian version received index DF6.
By the way, «just» Rich in China is still in production, it is also a relative of the Navara, but of 1997 («clones» are legal, because Dongfeng and Nissan have a joint venture).
So far, Dongfeng DF6 is available only in a single version with a length of 5310 mm and a four-door cabin.
The length and width of the load area is 1520 mm, the claimed capacity is only 490 kg, and the rear axle is on leaf springs.
Allowed GVW is 2459 kg, so the pickup doesn’t fall under the restrictions of the Rules for trucks with GVW more than 2.5 tons. Ground clearance of the DF6 is 220 mm.
In Russia the pickup is available only with a turbo diesel ZD25T5 2.5, which develops 136 hp and 305 Nm.
The engine is combined with a 5-speed «manual». DF6 has a hard-wheel drive.
Note that in China the model can be equipped with M9T 2.3 turbodiesel (163 hp, 380 Nm) or 2TZD 2.4 petrol «atmospheric» engine (158 hp, 235 Nm).
In the home market the truck can be equipped with 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic, in addition the trucks are available with rear-wheel drive. And in the home market the Rich 6 also comes as an electric truck.
DF6 has one set of options — Comfort. The package includes: LED running lights, 16-inch wheels, drum rear brakes, hydraulic power steering, ABS, stability system, «leather» upholstery, air conditioning, keyless entry system and the engine start button, heated front seats, audio system, a pair of airbags and rear Parktronic.
The recommended price of Dongfeng DF6 Comfort is 2,790,000 rubles.
For example, the price of Great Wall Wingle 7 according to the price list today is from 2,999,000 rubles.
