Farnova Othello 2023, a 1,800-horsepower electric hypercar, has been built in China.
Chinese company Farnova Automotive, founded in 1929 by a local businessman Guo Galin, has presented its first model — electric hypercar called «Othello».
Two-door has a stylish exterior design, which the developers call «Italian». The car is characterized by a streamlined body, retractable front wing and a massive diffuser.
The new Chinese electric hypercar promises acceleration to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds.
Besides, the presented hypercar has stylish five-spoke wheels, but its interior design is rather ascetic and not everyone will like it.
According to rumors, Farnova Othello is built on the chassis of the model Qiantu K50, which was released back in 2018 and is the brainchild of another Chinese company — Qiantu Motors.
At the same time, the technical «filling» of the model is completely new and much more powerful.
Thus, if the K50 has two electric motors with a total capacity of 380 hp and 580 Nm, here the output of units reaches 1,835 horsepower and 12,000 Nm of torque.
Power for its work they get from a battery capacity of 75 kWh, which the Chinese are provided by the Swedish company Northvolt.
The claimed maximum speed is 420 km/h. Externally, the hypercar looks like an Italian car: it has a retractable front wing, an air brake and a massive diffuser.
It is reported that the Chinese hypercar needs only 1.9 seconds to accelerate from a place up to a hundred and from 0-300 km/h — for 8.5 seconds.
Thus, this two-door can reach speeds of up to 420 km/h and travel up to 600 km without recharging.
The Chinese will make only 200 copies of Othello and assembly of cars is scheduled for 2023.
The electric hypercar will be available for 1.86 million yuan (20.9 million rubles at current exchange rate).
There is nothing superfluous in an electric supercar interior: a minimum of decor and maximum technology.
The new Chinese hypercar will be put into production only in 2023.
