Fiat Centoventi 2023.

Fiat is preparing a new crossover, which will get an appearance in the style of the Centoventi concept

The Italian brand may present its new compact SUV in the second half of 2023.

It is assumed that it will have several hybrid, as well as all-electric versions.

Autogiant Stellantis was formed early last year by merging the Italian-American concern FCA and French group PSA (names of the sides of the merger are not used at the moment).

It included all fourteen brands owned by the parties to the agreement, in the list: Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram and Vauxhall.

Further plans for the development of the Fiat brand became known in the summer of 2021. Then, the head of the brand and marketing director of the Stellantis Corporation Olivier Francois said that by 2030 the model lineup of the brand in Europe will be fully electrified.

In addition, in the near future the tasks of the automobile giant include restoration of sales volumes of the Italian brand and return of profitability.

According to the Carsalesbase website, Fiat’s sales in Europe have been declining for the past four years.

Especially noticeable was the decline at the end of «covid» 2020, when the dealers sold only 475 041 units. (24.7% less than in 2019).

For 2021, Old World customers bought 467,940 cars (1.5% less than a year earlier).

It should be noted that in the last ten years the peak year for the brand was 2017 — then Fiat cars were sold in Europe in 769,670 units.

To increase sales, Fiat is going to release several new products.

It is expected that among them will be a compact crossover, the name of which is not reported yet.

It is not excluded that it will be the firstborn of a line of models that will receive exterior design in the style of the Centoventi concept.

Recall, this show car was presented in the spring of 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show.

It is expected that the length of the new Fiat parkettes will be about 4.5 meters.

There is no information about what the future model of the Italian brand will look like yet.

The Spanish edition designer has presented his version of the exterior of the SUV.

Judging by the rendering, the model will have relatively small LED headlights rounded shape, connected to each other grille with patterns in the form of horizontal strokes (the electric version in this place will be blank).

At the bottom of the front bumper of the new Fiat small crossover we can see a relatively «modest» in size air intake, which is flanked by rounded squares of «fog lamps».

The design of the profile is borrowed from the concept car Centoventi and the roof has rails.

It is expected that the future Fiat crossover will be based on an upgraded Common Modular Platform (CMP), and the «green» model will be based on the e-CMP truck.

There is no official information about «stuffing» of the novelty yet. It is assumed that the model will have several versions with internal combustion engine, but they will all be part of different hybrid units.

It is expected that the electric modification has a cruising range of about 400 km without recharging.

According to preliminary data, the premiere will be held in the second half of 2023, and sales will start in early 2024.
