Aion Hyper SSR 2023: A 225-horsepower electric hypercar from the Chinese GAC.

The Chinese Aion brand formed four years ago and owned by GAC has introduced a new model — the Hyper SSR electric hypercar.

Note that the developers showed the public not a model or a design concept, but quite a working prototype, that is the serial version of the car is not far off.

Externally the two-door is notable for the presence of narrow and long headlights, as well as butterfly wing type doors, which are equipped with electric drive by default.

It’s also the first Aion to use its own nameplate. Note that all previous vehicles of the brand did not have its own logo — their bodies are decorated with GAC emblem.

The presented hypercar finally has its own nameplate, which in the future will be available for other vehicles of the brand.

The model’s interior has two seats. There is an 8.8-inch dashboard display and 14.6-inch multimedia touchscreen.

There are almost no physical buttons and a stylish rectangular steering wheel is offered to the driver.

The Aion Hyper SSR 2023 has an all-carbon body. It reaches a length of 4 538 mm and width of 1 988 mm. On the market the model will be available in two versions.

There is not much information about its basic version. It is known only that it will be able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h for 2.3 seconds.

But about the senior version with the prefix «Ultimate», the Chinese have told in more detail. The flagship modification will receive four electric motors with a total capacity of 1 225 hp (12 000 Nm).

From 0-100 km/h this car can «shoot out» in 1.9 seconds. Acceptance of orders for Chinese hypercar has already been opened, although on sale «live» cars will appear only in October of the twenty-third.

The price list will start at $184,000 (11.0 million rubles at the current exchange rate), but the Ultimate model will cost $241,000 (14.5 million rubles).
