Geely Binrui Cool 2022.

«Cool» sedan Geely Binrui enters the market: more aggressive and more powerful.

The Chinese «four-door» is noticeably transformed both outside and inside. In addition, the model got a new turbo engine.

The Binrui sedan in the Geely range appeared in 2018, it is positioned as a youth model.

The model is based on the BMA (B-segment Modular Architecture) platform, on which the Binyue crossover is also built (in our country it is Coolray).

The first restyling of a «four-door» experienced at the end of 2020, and then it received an «unsportsmanlike» variant F-Type (hello, Jaguar!).

And here is another modernization, only this time there are much more changes.

The brand revealed the design of such sedan in March, and now the sales start in China.

We should remind you that the updated model has a «last name» — from now on it is Geely Binrui Cool (cool).

So, the «cool» sedan received more aggressive bumpers and beefy hood, in addition, it got new grille, headlights and lights (LED headlights are already «in base»), and instead of diamond-shaped exhaust pipes of the system now oval.

F-version remained in formation, its features — orange inserts in the front, rear and sides, black mirror housings and wheels (all versions have 17-inch wheels), bright brake calipers and exterior decor «like carbon fiber.

In addition, for a surcharge for the F-Sedan, you can order an antifender (also «carbon fiber»).

The length of the Geely Binrui Cool is 4,710 mm, which is 30 mm more than its predecessor.

Width is increased by 10 mm to 1795 mm, height, on the contrary, is reduced by 5 mm (now 1455 mm). Wheelbase is the same as before — 2670 mm.

The interior is completely redesigned, there is a layered front dashboard, new steering wheel, center tunnel and door maps.

The new digital «dashboard» at 10.25 inches is now visually united with a touchscreen multimedia system (12.3″), although it’s still two separate displays (included «base»), which rise above the panel, due to which the central air deflectors had to move lower.

Instead of the block of control «climate» with washers — a number of buttons.

And a joystick was installed instead of the traditional lever of the box. «The F version is trimmed with «suede» and orange seat belts.

The cheapest sedan also has a cruise control, a pair of front airbags, keyless entry system and a start button.

The arsenal of the top version includes side airbags and safety curtains, adaptive cruise, all-around cameras, auto braking and lane-keeping systems.

Under the hood of Geely Binrui Cool installed a new gasoline «turbo four» 1.5, which produces 181 hp and 290 Nm, the engine is combined only with seven-speed robotized gearbox with two clutches.

The sedan will gain the first «hundred» in 7.1 seconds. The pre-reform Binrui is equipped with a 1.4 turbo engine rated at 141 hp (235 Nm), it has a six-speed «manual» and variator.

For a «cool» sedan today ask for about $14,000 — $16,000.

The former Geely Binrui has already been removed from the brand’s local consumer website, but judging by Chinese media catalogs, this model is still available at dealers, and it costs from $12,000.
