Sales of the updated Geely Preface 2023 sedan started this week.

Judging by the photos, the manufacturer significantly redesigned the sedan. In particular, the Chinese model has become more technologically advanced.

Thus, the sedan has become a very serious competitor to the Hyundai Sonata. At the same time, the «Chinese» is much cheaper than the Korean car.

It is reported that the Chinese model is available to buyers in two versions.

The cost of the basic version Jili Interface 2023 is 127,700 yuan, which at the current exchange rate is equivalent to 1.07 million rubles.

The top modification is estimated by the manufacturer at 142,700 yuan or 1.2 million rubles. For comparison, the current version of the Hyundai Sonata today in our country costs a minimum of 2,769,000 rubles.

We should separately note that for now the Chinese brand is only collecting pre-orders for its model. Trade samples of the new sedan will be shipped to official dealers on August 31.

The new Geely Preface 2023 is based on the CMA architecture. The use of this «bogie» makes the body design more rigid, and the car itself more stable on the road.

The length of Chinese model is 4785 mm, width — 1869 mm, and height — 1469 mm. Wheelbase of the car reached a mark of 2,800 mm.

The car will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.

This unit generates 190 horsepower and 300 N*m of torque.

The transmission is a 7-speed robotized transmission with a wet clutch. Drive is exclusively front-wheel drive.

As for the exterior, the new Jili Preface 2023 is made in the family style of the company.

At the same time, a number of exterior details passed to the novelty from the current version of the sedan.

In front is located the branded grille in the form of a shield, the inner filling which is in the form of vertical chrome lamellae reminiscent of a waterfall.

At the edges of it narrower headlights are installed, which also became longer. The front bumper has two large air intakes with original decorative inserts.

From the side the car shows the classic sedan look of the model with several chamfers and rounded wheel arches.

«Shoed» the novelty in large multi-spoke light alloy wheels. At the rear you can see a spoiler in the form of a «duck tail» on the trunk.

A massive diffuser is integrated into the rear bumper, from which two exhaust pipes are borne on either side.

The interior of the new sedan uses gray suede alcantara trim.

On the headrests of the seats you can see the turquoise lettering «PREFACE». The same shade is used in the stitching on the seats and door panels.

In addition, the central console is made with the use of innovative technologies, such as laser engraving. Most likely, the car will be equipped by default with a rather large touchpad of the multimedia complex and a digital dashboard.

The pictures also show that the model will be equipped with electronic parking brake, engine start button, climate control, cruise control and other equipment.
