A former top Volkswagen executive introduced his own car brand on the Chinese market.

A new luxury brand called BeyonCa, created by former Volkswagen China executive Su Weimin, has appeared on the Chinese market.

BeyonCa positions GT Opus 1 as a competitor to Porsche Taycan. Chinese auto giant Dongfeng will produce it under contract.

The car will have a body length of 5.2 meters and a wheelbase of 3 meters.

In addition to the exterior, BeyonCa partially declassified the interior of the GT Opus 1.

GT Opus 1 will be built on an 800-volt electric platform and will get a state-of-the-art battery with a capacity of up to 130 kWh.

The Chinese brand did not reveal power and dynamic characteristics of its first car. The only thing that is known is that a «charged» model called GT Opus 1 R will appear on the market along with the standard model.

The GT Opus 1 will be officially unveiled in 2024, but the exact premiere date is still unknown.

The expected price tag is about 1 million yuan, or about 8.4 million rubles at the current exchange rate.

Earlier, «Autonovosti Dney» named the cheapest Chinese cars in Russia. One of the models of the brand Dongfeng, which is just engaged in the production of the aforementioned GT Opus 1, found itself in the top 5.

With the release of its first-born BeyonCa GT Opus 1, the startup is going to «set the standard for a super-premium electric car.»

As a result, the young brand managed to find the perfect combination of design, comfort, safety and dynamics.

The car, for whose appearance was responsible for the former chief designer of Škoda and Bentley Dirk van Brekel, will receive a number of interesting features.

Thus, the cabin of the car will be placed sensors to monitor blood pressure of the driver. In case of emergency, electronics will be able to contact doctors.

In such a scenario, the car will start slowing down and stop at the emergency lane. Then it will contact the doctor, who can observe the driver from the screen of multimedia and give him advices.

And the list of «smart» functions of the novelty does not end there. Also, according to Reuters, the new startup’s models will have an advanced autopilot.
